I am just trying to get on idea and how long a wait, of those who are in "limbo" towards the NVC.
Basically wanting to know how many out here have gotten their NOA 2 approval and are filing CR/IR and the case has not reached the NVC system or just entered it.

I got my NOA 2 last Monday but I don't know what CR/IR is? Can someone brief me?

It took mine about 1 1/2 months to get all paperwork back to them , we recieved NOA2 on 7/12 and the IV fee bill was genrated on 9/10. Hope this helps, mine were CR2.

FYI CR1/IR1 are conditional and Immediate relatives of a USC ( United States Citizen )

Let me give you the skinny on CR1/IR1;

CR1 - this is the conditional resident immigrant visa; this is issued to someone who is getting their greencard through a spouse and at the time that the visa is issued you have been married for less than 2 years. The card that you will receive expires in 2 years and no more than 90 days before your card expires, you can file to have the conditions removed.

IR1 - is the immigrant resident visa, which is issued to someone who has been married for more than 2 years at the time the visa is issued and this card expires after 10 years. There is no need to file for conditions to be removed, but you will need to renew your card at the expiration date if you do not file for citizenship.

I hope that answers your question good.gif

Best of luck to everyone as you move on to the next stage of your journey.

It took about two weeks for me after USCIS approval for NVC to assign me a new case #.
