Thanks all !!
Chitown, I am very happy to read in the other thread that you had a succesful interview. Congratulations to you too.
Hi,
I filed a 1-129F Petiton for my fiance on Feb 28, 2008 and the paperwork came back because I failed to check the criminal history box (which I still am shock about because I poured over the paperwork again and again before sending it). Now, just to be clear, I wasn't trying to hide anything--my fiance and I don't have any criminial history--I don't even have a speeding ticket to my name. So i sent back the paperwork corrected.
The next touch was April 29, 2008 saying Vermont Service Center received the paperwork and that I should expect a written decision within 60 days. I understand that's well within the overall 6 month processing times allotted.
Well, 60 days has passed and when I called the Customer Service, they said they'd request for a status from the service center but center has at least 30 days to respond to that request for status.
I haven't heard anything back yet and I'm just curious as I've seen some of these quick TAT on the timelines, how much did I set my paperwork back when I needed to resend it with a revision? Does it just get tucked back beneath the pile or should I be worried that I have some serious issues with whatever the service center does on this initial approval round? I can't fathom what those issues might be but I'm becoming more and more dismayed with the whole process (and I know from reading this forum, I'm not the only frustrated person so I do have perspective). Nevetheless, it's just really tiring....

Had the oath yesterday in Denver! Yeay, all done! I posted my experience on the immigrationportal forum, under the Denver thread...I figured it wasn't really helpful here since there aren't any Denver folks on this thread!
Congratulations to everyone else, and good luck to those who aren't done yet.

Congrats to all you new USCs! (albeit, a little belatedly!) Wow Lady K, oath and ceremony on the same day -- that's fantastic! And it's really good to know that your passport didn't take too long to process.
One month today 'til I'm finally done with everything

It is similar sound to "richness" in chinese, I believe.

Hey guys! Can I complain here, it is going to be my 7th month for N400 process and I still did not get IL. I wonder if I am the only one who did get Interview Letter yet. I tried to call several times but they keep telling me tha my case is in the normal processing time frame. It is ugly!

It seems normal for Seattle, WA.
According to
http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=25258 ,
Seattle, WA DO will take average 9.8 months from N400 application date to initial interview date.
Above estimate was released by USCIS around April, 2008 for forecasting processing time by Sep, 2008.

There are some agents slower than oters, don't worry and don't think on it too much, you will receive it soon.

I had my Oath today. It was a very nice ceremony. I registered to vote and stopped by SSA office to updated my status in the system on my way home. The last step is getting passport. I'm proud US Citizen now! Go USA TEAM!!!
P.S. Congratulations to everyone else, and good luck to those who aren't done yet.

Thank you! Yep, you're next!

I could register at the ceremony but I didn't, it was so much easier for us to stop by Town Hall on a way home. Today I already got an acknowledgment notice from them...so I'm all set to vote
It's funny...here is a link to see video from my ceremony on YouTube

hello all, congratulations for all the oath ceremonies.
I finally received my "passport card" is a nice replacement for the green card that i had to surrender.
I feel weird, for the first time in almost 5 years I am not waiting for "something" from USCIS.
Enjoy the long weekend.

Lady_K, I had the exactly feeling, actually i was not suprised or excited when i opened the letter yesterday, just felt happy, but today i started to have this strange feeling that part of my heart is empty, i guess i better to find something fun to fill it up:) Btw, how does Passport Card work? Is it just same as passport book? We can use it in all foreign countries?

Sirch,
My DO is Newark NJ.
HelloKitty,
The passport card is not as good as a passport, it is only valid when returning from Mexico or Canada.
It is less expensive and it was created thinking on people who lives in borders.
I got the passport too, and I got the card because I wanted an extra ID.
