I'm filling up DS-156 online and I got confused with question # 22. It says "When Do You Intend To Arrive in the US?" Provide specific date if known. I read in posts here that the answer to that question is "WHEN VISA IS ISSUED" if no specific date to fly out is known. How can I fill it up with the "When Visa is Issued" answer if the online form doesn't have a text box for filling up text entries? Instead a date box is placed there. Should I leave it blank? Please help!

Once it got print out, you can hand written and put "WHEN VISA IS GRANTED"..

ohmy.gifmade it to WA already, put a 'specific date' on her form which did not have any final arrangement yet until her interview.

I typed the same answer after printing it out. Whatever suits you is good.

Anything that cannot be filled online can be handwritten as long as it's done neatly and readable.
