do DOS knows abt visa status?
i had my interview 2day....now want to know whether DOS will b knowing abt my visa grant???
at interview CO not clearly told abt visa grant but took my passport with her

how was the interview....didnt your wife ask to the CO ............... when she will be getting the visa or is your case under administrative processing or check...... if the CO has taken the PASSPORT... SHE WILL PROBABLY GETTING THE VISA....... keeep us posted..


DOS knows.... about your visa status... you can call them and find it out

interview was fine.......when i asked CO abt visa.....she told that we will review ur case and u'll b informed......
when i asked that whether visa is granted or not.......she told either visa or some paper will be couriered

this mean there r chances of administrative processing in my case...
well jigi whtat is this administrative processing??????

It's my understanding that all CR-1 applicants undergo some background checks after the interview, and that's why it takes a few days. It IS a good sign they took your passport, means they don't expect there to be a longer-than-normal delay. Expect the stamped passport to arrive within 2 weeks.

just a background check about your last name...... because lots of immigrants with same last name and many common first name have immigrated...thats why many people from part of punjab , delhi and mumbai r denied or told to wait for their visas at time... just a normal administrative check up....... hope to get your passport with ur visa stamped on it...... be home and wait for it
