Hicham called me this morning.

Yesterday he was called by the Casa Consulate to come pick up his visa. He got his packet and passport and was looking everything over when he discovered an error!

They had issued the visa to his EXPIRED PASSPORT NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!! What gets me is that they have to STAMP the visa directly onto the passport. HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Hicham took the passport back up to the window and told the guy about the error, he took back the documents and said they would have to be corrected and then he said to Hicham....

"Well, you should have told them you renewed your passport!"

Their incompentance is Hicham's fault??????????????????? mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

He then told the guy that he had traveled all the way from Sale, which is about an hour and a half train ride and could he wait. The guy told him to wait across the street and they would call him. They never did and he ended up having to take the train back home. The STILL have not called him today.

After all we've freak'in been through to have this kind of crap happen at the end.....I think I'm just numb.

No! They only have his new one. I'm not sure where they got his old passport number unless it's something they had in the system or it was on some previous documents.

I just know if I were stamping an official document, I would make sure numbers match...you know?

That would be far too efficient for your case... this *is* Casa. I know that doesn't make you feel any better, but their competency level has never proven very efficient. I hope this is corrected super quick and it doesn't cause any further delays for your hopeful trip home together. rose.gif
