Just curious....not all but a LOT of the emails that I get from the consulate in Cairo say at the end

"We will contact you once that has been completed to notify you of the next step. "


Has anyone else ever had this response?

My last email said they'd email me with our interview date...when it was scheduled...im not unhappy with Cairo...YET...but i highly doubt this will happen...lol... I do think what you are getting is a standard reply.

Thanks. I'm just curious though, what is "the next step"? I would think it'd be slappin the frikkin' visa on the passport. Anyone else who's already had their interview?

I wouldn't read too much into it. It's probably part of a stock response that they send to everyone, regardless of what point in the process they're at.

LOL, it's a Duke Carolina bonfire, in honor of our victory last night. I couldn't be there, so I had to settle for a virtual bonfire in my VJ signature. Pretty lame, I know.

I just sifted through all the emails I received from Cairo (yeah I still keep them for some morbid reason) and there were a few that said something about "next step." Probably another copied and pasted email.

LOL! I just went through my work email and deleted them all. I'm ALL done with that place.

About the response...I didn't get that specific one but I did get one similar. It seems like their normal sketchy response.

LOL! I received so many emails from them I eventually made a folder for them. I don't know what I'm so attached to them. Maybe a reminder of how jacked up they are.

Many of our response emails had this in them. Still in AP...........will contact for the next step once completed.

well , i had my interview last january 21 .......... 2 days ago i got this email reply

(The case is pending the officer's final review . We will process the case to conclusion when that has been completed ) ... i was so happy because i didnt get the Pending AP reply BUT when i called the embassy yestrday the lady told me its Pending AP

I'd be interested to see if others got this response when they still had some months of ap to go. Hopefully not though! I'd be excited if I ever got that response!!!

I just replied to this one. I think they can feel the tears through the words though I doubt it will do much good.
