*A Packet of documents has been generated and will be sent in the next few weeks : 01-21-2008 - its been past 15days no update yet? what am i expecting to received ?

we payed the immigrant and visa bill last 1/07/2008 and was received by the system 1/15/2008.

lawyer says NO UPDATE YET, what should i do to track . do you think packet of documents was somehow lost in transit? thanks

It seems like each step takes about a month, so you should get the packet soon. Too bad you're using a lawyer who can slow things down, but you can download forms and have them filled out and ready to go.

thanks can you give me the link, and since im a beginner im quite confuse of which to fill out. im not the one who got the lawyer its my dad as my case was complicated. ;( thanks for the help. do i need a barcode for that too?

Yes, you'll need a barcode for each of the thnigs you send to NVC. The DS-230 and instrructions can be downloaded from the uscis site. www.uscis.gov. It's all info about the beneficiary and Part I and II have to be filled out and Part I only needs to be signed by the beneficiary so it's best if they can download, fill out and send to you along with required proofs.
