Sigh, I read so much stuff...and I thought I did everything right. I sent my I-130 yesterday and it was recieved and signed for in Texas today...but I was supposed to send it to the Chicago Lockbox? I hope that isnt' a HUGE mistake....This is all so scary and uncertain. Reading now I see that it says you are 'encouraged' to send it there...does that mean that they will still take it and that it won't hold us up more? Sigh....

TSC will forward your application to the Chicago Lockbox who will complete the initial data input and then forward it to either California or Vermont for processing.

Sigh, thanks. I bet I still lost myself at the very least a week. sad.gif

I doubt you lost any time. Chicago is still inputing applications from December. Even before USCIS initiated using the Chicago office for input, your file would of been transferred out of Texas because Texas doesn't process I-130 applications anyway.
