We met in late Oct but got married Nov 3rd - it was the closest Sat they had available at the venue we wanted. I didn't care when it was, I just wanted it in the fall.

No. We had to get married on a weekday, so my birthday was out that year. Otherwise we would have done it on that day. It turned out it was 1 year and 1 day after the day we decided to get married, but that was not planned, just what happened.

We're not there yet, but barring any huge problems with visas or Diploms...yes.
We will get married exactly 2 years after we decided we needed to be together.
Turns out that's the only date available at our venue when he and his family can all be here.
Coincidence...
Yeah most likely, but still

I had always planned on a having my wedding in May or June but hubby wanted to get married as soon as possible after my 1 year ban was up so we could start the visa process....
He wanted to get married in January/04 and he gave me about 2 or 3 weeks notice but I managed to get him to wait until March/04...

My husband arrived in mid-March, so that didn't give us much of a window. I wanted to get married right away, but hubby said he wanted to marry on his birthday (end of April), so that when we did - it was perfect for us.

Kidding. Well, sort of. We did get married on his birthday; but only because the date worked for everyone involved. It was actually a Thursday night.

We picked a day that we knew Mel's mom would be in town- it was a surprise for her. We found a local Minister and went down to Jackson Square and got married. Mel's mom stayed with my stepson and Mel took me to a Plantation for the night.

However our K1 visa was approved in September and I would of had time to enter the US until March,so yes still cold.
We got married December 1st.

Not really but we asked Joe's family ( siblings, aunt, friends, nieces etc ) when they are best available, and its the Saturday before Thanksgiving and thats the date we chose so everybody was able to attend

. The date was set even before I arrived here and in fact I brought the wedding invitations made in the Philippines.

Yes it does. Lira and I both wanted to get married in January for personal reasons. But that didnt pan out so we just chose a date in the window frame. (07-07-07).

I know that I wanted to get married around Christmas time - it would be the coolest time in the Caribbean. So we got married Dec. 18th 2003. Almost didn't happen since I was bumped off my flight home. Someone had to give up their seat for me on the last flight out on the 17th. My bags didn't come with me, so I was without clothes for 2 days, not that I needed any during the honeymoon

You know we went to the beach on 07/07/07 and we saw (ironically enough) at least 7 weddings. I think that "lucky" day means a lot to many people

- I guess like Valentine's Day.
On our wedding announcements the date was 9/20/05 which was 2 years to the date when we met, however a hurricane decided to change those plans, and after an evacuation we were married on 9/21/05. I had to change our announcements!

Otherwise, we're getting married on our wedding day, which is always special!

Sort of - it was the most auspicious date for both of us that my FIL could find during the time I was in Nepal - he is an astrologer.
I think it turned out very nicely because it is on the summer solstice, the sunniest(longest) day of the year - hopefully that means our married life will have lots of sunshine...

We met on April 8th, got engaged on October 18th... so I wanted to get married on the 28th of whatever month he was able to move here. I love the number eight because it is close to the eternity symbol, so I wanted to be married with the number 8 somewhere in the date.
Since he moved here in May 2006, we had 90 days to be married and the Immigration fees were being raised in July, we wanted to get married ASAP to get the paperwork in and him have the ability to travel and work ASAP. We decided to get married on May 18th because it was a Saturday and I wouldn't have to take any time off of work - I'm trying to build up the vacation hour bank that was depleated in our courtship.
So, while I really wanted the 28th, we did it on the 18th... but I got my 8 in the date! =)

We got married on an island in the middle of a lake in Montana. We chose the first Saturday of the year when the lake was expected to have melted enough for us to get there by boat. Fortunately all went as planned. If we'd chosen the previous Saturday we'd have had to change venue as the lake was still half frozen then and unreachable by boat or on foot...

We were supposed to marry on his B'day, but his mother died about 3 weeks before, so we postponed. We ended up getting married 5 months later on Christmas Eve.
I chose both dates somewhat for sentimental reasons, but also so that neither of us would ever forget our anniversary.
BTW, I'm the one who forgets those sorts of dates. Not my husband.
