I know many of us have been patiently waiting for our processing times. The whole idea of immigration sucks. They do not realize how imporatant is to stay with our loves ones since life is too short.

I wonder if the whole corporate of immigation can stay away from their loves ones? They can't. Then why they make our lives so difficult.

I think people who are citizen, their petitions should get approve and done in one month. If not, what is the point of being a citizen? We pay taxes and work hard and try to do better in life but immigration have to have loooooooong processing times. I mean people just want to stay with their loved ones, not with terrorists. I hope something would happen in the immigration so all people would get thier papaers approve faster than anything.

LETS HOPE FOR THIS YEAR THAN LAST DIFFICULT YEAR.

Anyone with comment can jump in.

I have to concur, life is too short, a year of our lives is a steep price to pay, I have been anxious all this time having my whole life in limbo while this process goes slowly on. I have cried, I have had to pray, I have gone through horrible times. Yes the system should be more humane, how many times I have commented to myself, these people have loved ones too, I wonder if they have ever felt the pain of separation. Yes I have felt that I have a right to happiness that somehow is being hindered. I would respectfully ask the policy makers in this country to change this excruciating process for something more expeditive and again, more humane.

Bureaucracy has no mercy... that`s a fact. You can`t change how fast they process, they sit in their cubicles reading through applications, and you`re hoping that Americans can work faster? Except for the Manhattan monster workaholics, no one else really works that hard for other people's gain. US has way too many restrictions, yet it gives out amnesty to illegal immigrants. My hubby has to make 20-hour connecting flights to see me every month or so. This ridiculousness would continue for another year or so for us... it's sad

Unfortunately, in today's world there are those who would like to immigrate to the U.S. to do harm. Others would enter into sham marriages to gain residency skipping over many others who are waiting. All the security checks take time, and immigration visas aren't the only thing being processed.

There is always someone worse off than yourself.

Your partner is in India, a good friend of the US, and thus treated better.
My wife is in China, not a friend of the US.

The result, I wait the same time in USCIS, and NVC.
But then when the application is all approved, it takes 2-3 months to mail the paper work to the ONE US consulate in China that does immigration.
As you know, China has even more people than India, but India has 3 (maybe more) US consulates that do immigration.

After the "slow boat to china" we wait in line to get our interview for another 2-3 months.

My only consolation is that I can claim to have the best wife in the world, because in fact I looked everywhere in the world to find her.
Our life together will be long, so this year will only be a short distraction.

I agree that the immigration process in the USA is ridiculous.
When companies can pay an expedite fee, and have their petitions approved in 1 month, while US citizens families have no option but to wait... there is something wrong.

Anyway, if you are a US citizen, remember when you vote who looked after you and who didn't.
Be active, write to your senators and representatives.
Make sure they KNOW this is broken.

I agree as well!!!!!

This process really puts alotta stress not only on us here in the US waiting on our loved ones, but them as well. We have been waiting for 8 mths now just for an NOA2, but still nothing. We did receive an RFE around the holidays, so that took a lil longer than usual to get completed and the paperwork wasn't that difficult to get completed.

My husband is from Pakistan, so who knows how much longer we will have to wait to get our NOA2 ClockWatch2.gif <<watching the time pass by very slowwwllyyy.....

I could go on and on, but I won't, cause I know we are not the only ones still waiting and that does no good for anyone.

I just TRY to stay patient, hopeful, and pray everyday that we will be reunited again.......insha allaah!!! ( in 2008!!!!!!)

My 2 cents
