Congrats to all the new approvals! No sign of any kind of systematic processing, but at least they are moving along.

still nothing from my end. i need a theory to explain these random events. seems like we've already excluded the possiblity of going in some sort of alphabetical order..

other two possibilities

1 - don't hate me for this - this is just a theory - kids. do you all have kids
2 - how much evidence did you provide?

wondering if having kids is helping out any, and if sending in less evidence - meaning less time to validate - means anything.

just theories - nothing else - don't start a fire storm out of theories!!

I doubt they would take the time to weed out all the applications that provided birth certificates, it would basically mean they have to look at each individual application....

Maybe its a function of when the FBI returns a background check based on the "quality" of fingerprints submitted. Maybe there are different threshholds for the quality...those that can be instantly run through their tests, those that have to be improved for quality digitally - I'm no expert on this, but its a theory...I've seen other threads where people had to go take their fingerpirnts again...

I agreed with you, that is why I said at the beginning that I doubted they will approve cases IN alphabetical order.,... we are dealing with USCIS, “less work the better for them”.... so.... I believe they just gave our applications to a bunch of officers and we are looking at the results of a faster immigration officer... HE SHOULD GET THE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH AWARD!! LOL!!!! plausible - trying to adjudicate based on whether or not someone has kids requires that they go through all the applications- at which point they may as well approve as they are going through.

so the next theory - they pick up a stack - if it's lighter in weight, they decide to go through it. if it's not, they put it aside. that is the only theory i can come up with for now!

The delay is based on that they have one (1) computer per ten (10) adjusters i.e. the first adjuster that arrives in the morning get one of his approval trough,, hehe no real organized system.

Actually they did at some capacity went thru our files when almost all of us were touched on 2/25

I have a feeling that in the transfer and resorting process, they were put in piles in no particular order at all. They shuffled the deck, in other words.

I guess it wouldn't be that difficult to determine from just looking at a petition for 15-20 seconds or so whether it had a birth certificate attached . . . but then again, I think we're talking about 12,000 petitions that were transfered.

when we first got the biometric app. and the NOA me and husband said: Ho!! wow!!! this is faster than anything we had done...... ... that was not the correct answer!!!!!!! it tool longer than anything else!!!! I just hope whatever they are doing they doing it fast..... I just hope that they just gave all of our applications to same competent people...

This is great news, indeed! 3 approvals this week so far for the OLD TSC cases transferred to VSC. Finally!! This means these cases have not been queued after the new filings at VSC!
Hope this list is swept-cleaned in a matter of days...

It was a rough guesstimate based on CIS's own figures -- dividing the number of I-751s they projected receipt of last year by 4 (for the 4 service centers) and then dividing that figure again by 4 (since the bulk transfers represent 1/4th of the year's petitions filed at TSC).

It is great to see some movement I am no longer the only one. I really believe this is the beginning of the USCIS getting rid of this black mark against them. I got my card today, this has to be the fastest process at that black hole organization.

Back in January 2008 when our case was still at the TSC, I placed a service request via the phone. At that time, our case had not been transferred and we were outside the TSC window.

Well, guess what? I heard back today. My hearft froze, thinking we had been approved. But alas, just a standard reply.

Yowie, the metal plate in my head is throbbing it seems like the aliens are communicating again. They are saying someone is not being truthful to us in re the 2/01/07 date. For example, if you look at the last few VSC approvals they are after March 1 07', and were you in the processing time frame posted by VSC for last month (3/1), one of us was. The aliens have taken some delight in reading the Director's rebuttal to the NY Times article (to see it go to the VJ homepage what a bunch of self-serving garbage, especially to those of us who filed before the onslaught of naturalization applicants who filed before the 7/1/07 deadline) it makes you want to upchuck, especially in the lap of one of those cobweb covered ajudicators! Sorry that you got heart palpitations and increased blood pressure with your recent correspondence from VSC, but I stick to my guns mid-May before we see any movement on our applications. Now at 1 year and 1 day counting is fruitless but for the time being that and the aliens are all I have. Nights and weekend work by USCIS?, that smacks of a thick Tom Clancy novel or romance novel stuck in a desk drawer frequently read on the job.

But we can draw some facts:

1. It tooks USCIS 10 weeks to respond to my service request (phoned in on Jan. 18, 2008)
2. The service request, initially directed to the TSC was replied to by the VSC, who now have my application.
3. There is no proof that the USCIS actually dug up my application. They simply looked at the date we filed, compared it to theirs and issued a standard reply.

The conclusion one can draw is that the USCIS agents managing the phone line really do not know any more than what the website tells you. Launching service requests is a pointless exercise if you are before their "dynamic, backward dating" processing dates. (even though ours was after the TSC processing dates for the I-751 when I enquired on Jan. 18).

I'll just lounge here on this message board and wait for them to adjudicate.

I checked the online status late today and it showed that we had been touched and approved as of 3/31/2008. Our case status is now "Card production ordered." I wish everyone who had filed before us had gotten approved but I hope this means that it will happen soon.

As for whether having kids affects their determination, we have no children together but her three kids went through AOS about a year after my wife did and they have 10 year cards. I submitted copies of their 10 year cards along with our other proof.

Congrats, bro! Looks like VSC may be plowing through the pile, even if out of chronological order. If they did 5 of us on the list over the past week, they must have processed over 2000 of the total TSC-VSC transfers. If they keep it up, that would mean that the last of us should be approved by May 5 or so.

Uaaaaah - I GOT APPROVED!!! No, it is NOT a joke!!! I kept checking my account yesterday, nothing was there. Just got in the office though and saw an email saying card production has been ordered. My last touch is dated April 1sth, however the card was apparently ordered on March 31st. The email was sent out at 9:29am today - so just about an hour ago.
I'm HAPPY now

I didn't get an interview letter, but when you all got the transfer notice, I got one too, but mine was saying :

"On January 31, 2008, we transferred this case to our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location to conduct the interview that is a standard part of processing this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED. You will be sent a notice when the interview is scheduled, or if the office needs something from you. "

yes but Vermont wont give you an interview.. I think it is just a mistake.....
it is just my opinion, hopefully I am not wrong!

This is good news for all of us hopefully USCIS will keep the momentum and approve left and right and for sure they will hit each of us shortly.

Just to add to my desperation.... I would like to see somebody that was touch on 02/26/2008 approve… came on!!!!
