I have my appointment for passport stamp Thursday July 10, because I need to travel overseas around July 20,,, I just hoping for that this trip to the immigration office will be waste of time.

The strangest thing has been happening lately - when i go onl;ine to check the case status... my eyes keep momentarily playing tricks on me... I get butterflies on my stomach until I realize I have an over active imagination... This is all screwing with my head....

I do the same thing. The 2 of 2-26 seems to be a 7 sometimes. Wonder if this will ever be over! another Monday gone.

Okay guys, for some reason i no longer even bother to check my status online or even come on this forum. I am just so irritated with these USCIS people in Vermont that i decided to take a break from all this...Now guess what I got this weekend, a letter from them telling me that i need to re-appear for fingerprints..Just to quote them:-

"Your fingerprint card on file with the USCIS has expired and in order for USCIS to continue processing your application, it will be necessary to have your fingerprints re-taken."

What rubbish is all this. I have been waiting for 1 year 4 months and all they can tell me is that my fingerprints have expired and I need to re-do them....Has anyone else gotten this letter? And the notice came from TSC not Vermont.

Hey All,

Who is applying for citizenship out of the TSC/VSC Loser List? I am gathering paperwork as we speak. I was reading the guidelines and saw that I need to request a Status Information letter from Selective Service to show that my husband was exempt from registering because he entered the US after his 26th birthday. Has anyone else seen this? I did send an application to request the letter, I am not sure if its necessary but just wanted to cross all my T's and dot all my I's. So thats the only document I am waiting on.

Well, we are done with USCIS. My husband took his oath on the 4th of July, and I must say it was amazingly special. Here's the rundown - We had to be at the US District Courthouse here in Tallahassee, where the judge gave the oath to everyone - only 20 were being naturalized, with 17 going on to a Celebrate America celebration at our park. The other three were elderly or sick, and they were unable to manage the 100 degree heat. One ironic thing - the USCIS representative was actually the same man who did our AOS interview 3 years ago.

We then went by police motorcade to the park here in town. They stopped traffic for us - which made us feel terribly important. They then took my husband and all the others up on stage, where they had the Color Guard and the court's bailiff call court to order - just imagine "All Rise - Hear Ye, Hear Ye - the US District Court is now in session, with the Honorable Judge Sherrill presiding". Quite wild to hear at a park. The magistrate judge asked all the candidates to state their name and country of origin. The US Attorney General made the motion that they be presented as candidates for naturalization - it was moved. Then they were given the oath and said the Pledge of Allegiance. A tenor from Florida State University sang God Bless America and then court was dismissed. All in all, it was a wonderfully solemn and heartfelt ceremony.

I did one thing for my husband, I had a flag flown over the US Capitol building in DC - he was very moved by this gesture. The flag came with a signed certificate. If you are interested in doing something like this, you can contact your US Representative. Also, my aunt and uncle gave my husband my grandfather's US flag that had been draped over his casket, he served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. My husband was so proud to receive not one, but two flags. All in all, it was an amazing day.

I have to say that we are blessed to have completed this journey and I am grateful to all of the people on these boards who have made it fun along the way.

Dallas, this is ridiculous. There has been at least one person on this forum that has had frustration with the fingerprints and/or biomatrics, but not sure if any of those people are on this thread, I don't think so though... you should post this as a whole new topic and maybe you will run into others with the same problem... It really ticks me off that they would lose your fingerprints, maybe this is a stall tactic? In any case of course you should make the appointment to do it asap... Maybe you can call the USCIS hotline and see if they have something different to say on your case?

During my husband's AOS process he got a letter that his fingerprints had expired, and he had to have them taken again. Shortly after that he was approved. This was due to security checks taking longer than usual, so I'm not sure if that would be the same with your case since it's lifting conditions. Good luck.

Tomorrow, this Friday, next week or another couples weeks before next approval, i.e. “business as usual” for us reminds unapproved on the list !

We go the card in the mail today, I think we got an email yesterday saying that the card was sent. Anyway now to the waiting game on the Citizenship

get plastic card in the mail box today! exactly 7 days from the day the approval notice email came.

I just got an email saying that my card has been ordered!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's weird... because last thing I knew from them was that they were going to send me a letter to get another interview. I guess they chose to believe us instead!!! I'm soooooooooo happy!!!!!

No, I think he just meant his NOA date was June 4th.... if it was his approval I would think he would be a little bit more giddy....

Heh heh, congrats, Muergana, you are the LAST on the Loser List, which means it can only be a matter of a week or two before everyone else is approved and this function gets closed down!

What must be distressing about this for BBAN and baunzer is that this is taking the same amount of time at VSC (6 months) as it would have taken if they had filed at VSC directly last year. Only they had to put in 8-9 months at TSC first . . . .

James, you are right. I am beyond frustrated but start worrying about having been forgotten or lost. I am hard at the 14 month mark and don´t want to do biometrics again. Also, I have moved and hope they updated my address correctly. Just want this over with. If not done in 2 weeks, at least I will be officially past due (unless they backdate their processing times). CSC must be approving petitions filed a year after mine now!

I just got my (second) I-551 this morning, first time I got a 6 mnd this time a 12 mnd. I asked way ,,, you will be called in for interview the next 2 to 3 mnd. Does anyone know if that will be schedulet only by mail or do we get a email as well?

I don't think you would have to worry about biometrics again unless get to the 16 month mark, like dallaschic (although I had read somewhere that fingerprints were really good for 18 months, not 16, so who knows). But no way they are going to sit on you for another two months!

BBan, they were certain you would get an interview? I suspect it was their standard answer. At the poe I am always asked when my interview is scheduled. Anybody got an opinion on this?

I was told that we are going have an interview (after I asked about if there are any holdups with my approval) and that will we reseive mail in 2 to 3 mnd.

It is hard to believe that they will call you for an interview, because when I went for my stamp (1 day before my approval.. ironic) I asked the lady if she could tell me something about my case, she even showed me the computer and everything she could access regarding my case and all she could see was my transfer to Vermont and my last touched of 02/26/2008 fro biometrics.... so how in this world they told you that you will have an interview if they can not see it!!!!??????? So.... I don’t think you will have an interview I think this is just an speculation because they need it to give you an answer.

I hope that is the case (standard answer),,, but the only consern I have is: my first I-551 stamp was valid for 6 mnd, this time they gave me 12 mnd. that maid me feel I was up for a long ride,,

mmm... no they gave me a 12 month also and I was approved the next day.... the lady even told me that there is people that wait for 3 years and she was hoping for my approval soon.... so she had no idea of what was going on!!!

BBan, I think the transfer to your local office for interview would be shown as last touch date. Most officers think I-751 requires an interview (which it officially does) and they might just have tried to explain to you why it could have taken so long. Let´s hope we re all out of this mess by next week
