I am so happy to report that we are APPROVED today. What is the next step and how long are interviews now taking? I am hoping for something in late March early April. I am wondering from people that had recent interviews, what paperwork the USC sent to the PI fiance? Thanks for your help. And congrats to all and good luck to the rest. This is an amazing feeling to have the approval.

Congratulations Chuch&Rose..I know what you are feeling right now coz my Frank was also like that the time he got an e-mail regarding the approval of our application.
As for now, you only have to wait for the Service center to forward your petition to Manila Embassy.By then, you will have your new case number which you can use on checking out your case online if you got your appointment date yet.
The embassy will then send your fiancee the packet 4.That's all i can share for now.
So, again Congrats and Good Luck to all of us!

For the prep work. Get all your I-134 AOS info together. I sent mine to Rose via DHL and it got to her in 3 days. Let me know if you want to know what I sent with it.
For Rose, she is going to pre medical and get police clearance records today, I think.
I also asked her to find a travel agent, so we can get prices for airlines tix to San Francisco.
I hat trying to call the NVC number because it is so difficult to get through, plus I don't like rejection.
Hope we have a case number soon.

George and aaiz..did you talked to the live person at NVC and said they don't have your case yet? because if you just use the NVC automated system, the KS visa is not on the system..You have to talk to live person to find out ur new case number..I bet yours is on the way in the Philippines now

To Chuck,
OK here I go....so what did you sent to Rose?since we dont want to miss evrything. And by the way what do you mean pre medical? does it mean having medical in another clinic just to make sure that everything is okay, before having medical at St Luke? thanks chuck....hope it wont take long to have our case no.
chuck_n_rose
Feb 15 2008, 12:04 AM
Hi Wacky- I have no idea about the pre-medical but will ask Rose about it.
This is what I sent:
completed and notarized I-134
last 3 years IRS tax forms with W-2 stubs
last 6 months of pay stubs
last 3 months of bank statements to show I keep a consistent amount in my account
credit card statements from when I was there
copy of my boading pass
copy of my birth cert.
copy of my passport
copy of 129F and G-325
letter from employer
I did not get letter from bank because I am over the poverty level.
I know the above stuff is overkill, but if you got it, better to have too much stuff than not enough.
Let me know if you need any other info.
Also, I tried calling again late evening and got through to NVC. Still not there. I played dumb hoping the nice lady would give me some inside info on the process, but not happening. I feel bad for the people that have to answer our phone calls.
Hope we all have MNL case number next week. I'm hoping for a late March or early April interview, so we can have April wedding.

It is ok for you to call the NVC but be aware that you can be stay in line for a long time and that will be expensive phone call on your side..also, make sure you have your receipt number ready because the NVC operator will ask that and the beneficiary bdate which is you..I suggest, the petitioner, make the phone calls but it's totally up to you..Goodluck!!

i am now preparing required docs that i will bring during interview.
some questions...
1. CENOMAR -- i already have this one since August of 2007. (We actually included it in our original 129F petition sent to CSC) Would that be alright or should I get another one -- dated 2008?
2. POLICE CERTIFICATE -- i really don't understand the importance of this. Isn't NBI Clearance enough? Anyweiz... I am living in Manila for 4yrs for work, so I will get a police clearance here right? But originally, my hometown is in Subic. That is my permanent address. Should I get another police clearance there?
3. DS-156 and DS-157 Forms -- both will be provided by the bank where fees are paid?
3a. DS-156 -- is it really true that handwritten or typed Visa Application DS-156 Forms will no longer be accepted? Visa application forms printed from the Internet and then filled out by hand or typed on a typewriter will not be accepted? as I have read in the USEM site, it states "Please fill out the form online, and then print it out using a laser printer." If so, the forms that will be given by the bank after I paid my fees are useless.. right?

Only those that had worked or lived outside PI.

present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for six (6) months or more
after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained
