Congratulations!

Hope we will be able to get our NOA2 soon too. pls include us in ur prayers.
Absolutely!! Although I never prayed for a fast approval, but the STRENGTH to withstand the waiting.
I absolutely agree... I prayed I'd make it through the waiting and I wasn't really hoping for a fast approval because I didn't wanna get my hopes up. and When I got the NOA2 email I thought it was a joke because i came in only a little over a month. I was in shock.
As for getting packet 3 after my NOA2.... it took about a month from London. but once we got packet 3 everything has gone so fast. we got packet 4 in 6 days of sending packet 3 and our interview is a little over 3 weeks from sending packet 3. I kept up with the process calling the NVC when it was suppose to be there then calling the DOS 4 days after sending packet 3 just to make sure they received packet 3 and to my surprise we had already had an interview scheduled! they said its for May 2nd.. I made them repeat it 3 times because I thought i was hearing it wrong. I started to cry I was sooo happy! so now we're coming close to interview time and we're both a ball of nerves.
best of luck to everyone!!!

Thanx,
I guess this is where the February Filers are........waiting for package three. I received a letter on April 7 saying that my fiance would soon be receiving the packet. Our lawyer (we have a complicated case and had to get a lawyer) received a copy of the packet about a week ago.) I think she said she's going to email the consulate in London to see what's going on. She told me last night that he should go ahead and get the medical appointment anyway and not wait for the packet.

Congrats to all approvals. We finally got our NOA1 a couple days ago (two and a half months after filing!). Just want to let everyone know who's waiting not to panic as for some reason some applications seem to get accepted and processed quickly while others like mine are like wading through molases. Hope the rest of the journey isn't like this!

To keep us FEB FILERS bumped up to the beginning of the threads, I'll add my 2 cents worth.
We have been waiting most of April and now well into May for Pete to receive packet 3 in London. It's getting really depressing. We now think that London sent the packet to our lawyer in the US and it should have been sent to HIM in London. Tomorrow I'm going to DHL the copy our lawyer sent to us -- get it over there to Pete so he can get started with his side of it.
He STILL has not received his police report after FIVE WEEKS. I'm so worried about his filing out all these new forms and getting something wrong, I wish I could just go over there and help him. Then we could practice interview questions too instead of doing it over the phone.
This is taking too long. With my DHL tomorrow I'll include a birthday card for my poor Man. The second year we have missed being together on his birthday. Hope he's here for the 4th of July.
Yeah, I'm still holding out hope that Kevin will be here for July 4th, but I think I'm probably being too optimistic

Good luck with getting all that paperwork going. I can't wait until he gets his packet 3 and we get this thing rolling again! I'm thinking about calling NVC today to see if our file is there yet. Impatient much?

Yeah, I'm still holding out hope that Kevin will be here for July 4th, but I think I'm probably being too optimisticI wonder if this is the hardest time of the waiting. At first it was all new and fresh and exciting. Now, a few months later, this is getting to be almost a hardship. Being apart for so long is hurting and the entire process is getting depressing.
Pete is more or less burning his bridges over there and waiting anxiously to be here. He's sold most of everything he owned, his car is almost dead and he's not going to get it fixed, he's sorting through piles of paperwork on his own. I was so lonely for him today that I started to write a little poem about waiting. Yet it's too soon to be anticipating the happy reunion at the airport.
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. This is not a fun time.
i understand where you're coming from, lois! i've been calling the nvc tons since monday to see if they've received our file yet and everytime i call i get the 'your number is not in our system, either you entered the wrong # or we have not received your file, LOSER!' lol no it doesn't actually say loser...but everytime i hear that, it's how i feel...yet i've seen posts from people who got their noa2 after me had theirs received by nvc yesterday...and yes they were vermont people...we already had to wait longer than the average wait for the noa2 at this point...i was hoping at some point the wait would get shorter....i'm still hoping for july 4th...but with each passing day...it seems further out of reach.

maybe tomorrow when i call nvc...i'll talk to a human...i hope you guys get your packets 3 soon
chin up, lois, we can't let them get to us! we are going to make this thing happen for real! that happy reunion at the airport will be here before you know it!

That's frustrating when you've gone through the US side of it but then they don't get their packet 3 from the embassy. Pete was supposed to call London today to find out why he never got it. The other thing that's holding him up is the police report -- 5 weeks waiting so far. It will feel good to break through these barriers -- I know what you mean about the $12.00 per call---yeeeeks. HE HAS IT!!

After a phone fight last night he called London today. They said he should have it -- HE says he checked the mail and there it was. (It seems kind of co-incidental to me but at least he does have it.)
That got him going and so he ran around today getting his information, new passport photos, talking with his lawyer and also his doctor AND he even called Scotland Yard to see why the police report has taken 5 weeks.
He said the Scotland Yard person was very nice and will expedite his police report so that he will have it in a week. PROGRESS!

Thank You! It's the
new police report that he's waiting for, thank goodness I found that out on here. I don't know why it takes so long for things to get to him but he did explain why packet 3 took 17 days to get from London--the Embassy had cello-taped it and it was stuck to something else and traveled all around England!
Glad to see that you have some action too. (as long as the Embassy doesn't use cello-tape and yours goes traveling like ours did you should be dealing with fun-fun-fun packet 3 pretty soon.)

Kevin always has trouble opening my packages because I like to make sure they are secure and sealed....using the dhl trick, the package that my petition is in arrived in UK at 3:59am...wow REALLY fast! that's not to say it's in london yet, but it's at least in the country! kevin sent for his police report on tuesday...i also have been nagging him to get his medical records from his doctor...i guess i need to get myself in gear as well! i already have arrangements with my employer for my letter from them...i sent for and received my tax transcripts in march (wishful thinking back then), have the I-134 filled out already just have to print it out and get it signed and notarized....as for recent paystubs, i'm wondering if it has to be the actual paystub....my employer has all my paystubs available to me online...i wonder if printing that out would be acceptable...that way he could take the most recent ones with him and i wouldn't have to wait till the last minute to send all the paperwork i've got here for him....it truly is going fast now, but that's ok with us!

I was extremely surprised how fast it went once it reaches London. its nice knowing you have some control over it once its there and sending back packet 3. I had to bug Damian so much to get his medical records and once he did he was thankful I bugged so much cause he ended up not needing any jabs and saving money. it took about a week to get them once he actually phoned! and the police report only took 4 days which we were very surprised about.
Now I'm bugging him to get his International Drivers Permit so we can finally sign his car over to him in his name. that is if PA can make up their minds if they'll let him or not!!
Now I'm starting to stress about getting married and AOS..
Hopefully things go fast for the both of you!

Bloomsburg! we go to the bloomsburg fair every year. I live right outside of Harrisburg. I did tons of research with the license what I found out so far is... He has to get an international drivers permit.. which you just go to a post office in England to get and I believe it costs about $10 and is good for a year. there's a few things that confuse me tho so i wrote to penndot on friday so hopefully they'll get back to me in the next few days and i will give you all the details. I know that he can't get a license until you get married because you have to show the marriage license. so I will keep you posted once i get an answer from penndot.
London should have your case tomorrow! that's exciting!! hopefully they still have their butts in gear and get that packet 3 out to you very fast. I was so surprised how fast things went for us. I called DOS to make sure they got my packet 3 and to my surprise they scheduled the interview date and that came and gone so fast! I was stressing about all the paperwork and sent him so much and he didn't end up needing alot at all. just the I-134 and pay check stubs. all that work and all they needed was the stuff i didn't put together (the co-sponsor did) haha oh well its really an anti-climax! best of luck to you!!
