I hope we did things right....we are sending it on Feb 28th ...any advice regarding the best way to send the package so it doesnt get lost? How do we know it actually got there? Somebody filing in Vermont too????

NOA1 from the 8th, VSC.... The hard copy was postmarked from the 12th but I am not sure when it actually arrived cause no-one was home for 3 weeks.

Got a touch on a Sunday this last week... I think I will try to not look for a couple weeks now cause it is too early and I want to get into a different month from when I sent it in.

i sent mine to VSC overnight express mail with return receipt requested.
It cost me $21.65
with the express mail there's an automatic tracking number included so you can track it and make sure it gets there

We are all just waiting and watching the clock to see whan the check gets cashed and when we will get our NAO1

I think people will be surprised how fast it will go now. If you have had an NOA1 then i'd suggest getting things in order for when the packet 3 arrives.

I had a dream last night that there was a sudden influx of approvals.......sometimes my dreams come true, let's hope this is one of 'those' dreams..

I've already been getting things situated. Ordered my IRS transcripts today and getting with my HR guy today or tomorrow to get the letter secured. Also going to fill out the form and start organizing the information for the 'ongoing' relationship.

Also in regards to shipping. I sent my USPS overnight and it ran me only 14dollars and it automatically comes with a tracking number.

I've started doing all that too, I ordered my transcripts last week. lol I am wondering how much it's going to cost to send this huge pile of papers over to the UK. I've got months and months of several page phone bills printed out and I'll be printing out more up till closer to the date of the interview.
The other day my mom told me that it was hard for her to get excited for me because she thinks for some reason that by the time I'm done with all this paperwork I won't feel the same about my fiance
If anything, it's making me realize how much I actually do love him! oiiii

LOL i know that feeling all too well. I'm actually thinking of pdfing all the documents that I can and just emailing them to my sweety over in the UK. That way all i have to really 'mail' will be the document I have to sign. That way he'll have all he needs and can just print it out. (will save costs i'm sure)

But you're right... going through all this does make you realize how much you love each other.

Hey everyone. I'm very new here on this forum. I sent out my packet on Saturday the 23rd, they got it on Monday the 25th. I've been checking my bank account to see if they cashed my check! I hope everything goes smoothly!!

By the way...this is a wonderful site. Everyone seems to be very helpful here. The guides are great too!!

Doing what we are doing is a big proof of love. And btw we will have paperwork to do for a long time after the K1. And a lot of things to do. After the US entry a marriage to organize, after the marriage it still a lot of paperwork to do.

And a new life to start, I'm scarred about my new life in US, cause i will left all, a good work, my apartment, my family and friends. A new life is starting and i don't think i gonna to have time to get bored. Will have to help my daughter with school, when i will be able to do, have to find a work.

The K1 process is only a step, ok a long one.

Yep.. sure enough we are. Hmm maybe we will get lucky and our checks will go through today... our NOA1 will arrive this week and the NOA2 within a month! I can dream right?

That would make me very, very angry. What we're all going through right now is hard enough without having people say that kind of thing. And I know I'm about to sound like a whiny teenager, but in this case it's true, people who haven't gone through this can't possibly understand how hard it is. They can logically know it's really hard, but they don't really understand. It's like being a parent...I don't have kids and I know how hard parents work to do things right...but until I have them, that's only an academic understanding and that's different. We understand what you're going through and we know you'll prove her comment wrong.



But it's so exciting to at least know you're one step closer! Congrats!

Got my NOA1 in the mail today! They received my package on Feb. 21st, and the NOA is dated Feb. 22nd. I think that's pretty fast, isn't it? Anyway, now I can finally start checking the website... every day. Yay!!

Do you think they were handing a bunch of files over to another division or something?

Almost everyone who filed at the beginning of Feb was touched on the 24th.........

It seems most touches appeat at weekend, dont you think thats odd

we also filled in feb. the cashed the check on the 22nd and got NOA 1 the 20th.

your case number will begin with 3 alpha characters and followed by 10 numbers.

Mine was sideways on the check, the bottom line in the endorsement area.

rawr I haven't gotten the hard copy of my NOA1 yet and after attempting to decipher the tracking # on my check my brain has gone batty and I gave up.

im kind of worried i'm going to get an RFE, i just hope what i submitted was enough evidence for them

im glad its cashed, ive been trying to work it out the nearest i can get to is eac0847752673 but thats not correct, but i think the letters are correct.

The best I have been able to make out is:

EAC0849952673 -- which isn't a valid case number.

The vertical lines just suck, and I'm still trying to use some image software I have

I agree, it looks like eac**9952673 I'd just go and start randomly putting that string into the system with all of the numbers...it can't hurt.

lol i did that and got a bunch of other peoples' cases!
thats what frustrated me so much...i'd put in something, it'd bring up a page i would look at the date and go DAMMIT!

I would say the first 4 digits are 0809 (this even corresponds with the date you sent your petition and the other applications received at that time)... and the last 4.. really look like 2673...but I can't seem to get anything to work either.. sorry!
