My husband entered the US on a K1 in August and we married in September. His parents and brothers want to come to the US for our second wedding (the first one was in City Hall, no family, no friends) that we are planning for July. They have an appointment at the Embassy in Tel Aviv to apply for the visa and want us to write them a letter of support to saying they are coming for the wedding because they think that will help their chances.

Does anyone have any advice on getting a tourist visa, or know any particulars about the process in Tel Aviv?

Thanks!!

It's a formality, more or less. They ask you a few questions, you get a visa (usually valid for 10 years.)

It used to be the case that you didn't even have to go to the Embassy to get a tourist visa - you could just
mail in your application and passport. Tel-Aviv changed the rules in 2004, but the interview is still a mere
formality.

Disclaimer: I've never actually done it myself - I only know what I've been told by my Israeli friends.
