Hi everybody:
My husband was given a white paper at the interview, the oc told him everything seems ok but needs me to get there and be with my husband for a second interview I booked my flight for saturday and we'll have the second interview on tuesday at 9:30 has this happen to enybody? should a worry about this? this is driving me crazy..
Thanks please any input is appreciated

They want to interview both to determine a bona fide relationship. This much like USCIS interview when adjusting status from a K-Visa.

At least they gave you this option rather than outright denial like other consulates are known to do.

Thanks YuAndDan which visa did you mention? for adjustment of status? we've never leave together so I just nervous about the questions they ask.
I'm sure this is not a denial? isn't?

what's the difference between receiving a blue or a white paper?
YuAndDan
Since CR-1 results in a green-card, determination of bona fide marital relationship before approving the green-card falls on the consulate.

With K-Visas this falls on USCIS to interview before approving green-card.

They will just ask questions about how you communicate, and considering the shortness of marriage probably will me less concerned with the living together issue.

Color of paper varies by consulate, some issue blue for additional evidence and white to indicate out-right denial, this is not the case for you.

Hi Karla:
the thing is that me and my husband got married In the Dominican Republic and the OC wanted to know why we didn't get married in El Salvador, He just want to see us together and make sure ours is a bona fide marriage that's all,he never said the visa was denied or anything like that,I don't know about just case but to be honest with you I regret the fact that I didn't go to the interview with my husband in the first place, anyway I'm leaving to El Salvador On saturday and spending 5 days with my husband in the beach YAY I'm happy!!!!

im soo happy for u guys!!

no if they were going to deny ur visa then they would have done it already! im sure your vise will not get denied!!! IM SOO HAPPY FOR U GUYS!!!

did ur husband take pictures and things to prove ur relationship?
JenK
Our white form just means that they want more time to review our case before issuing or not issuing the visa. Maybe this is what's happening in your case as well. Good luck!!

You do not need to be there for your honey's interview, but it does seem to help if you are. I could not be at mine, and they did ask if I was there. I do think it helps if they can see you two together but it isnt required for you to be there.

Hi Karla:
my husband had a lot of evidence with him but the OC saidthe biggest evidence we can present id me being there with him as a couple.
Anyways I'm sure everything is going to be OK for now I need to concentrate on my trip(such a short notice) just the fact that I'll see my husband after 8 long months makes my heart jump...Don't stress yourself about this each case is different just wait and see. we're staying in Bahia del Sol en la costa del sol, I'm looking forward to spend time with my husband.
Good luck
