Hi!
I'm in a bit of a bind with the Vancouver Consulate. I had my K-1 visa interview last November. They were concerned because my fiance's marriage and divorce certificates weren't official enough. They gave me a letter that said that when I had the proper documents, I could email them and they would give me another appointment date to show them the proper documents, otherwise I was approved. I finally got the proper documents and emailed them two weeks ago. I haven't heard anything back and I'm starting to panic a little. Any advice on what I should do? I don't know if I'm expecting a letter or an email, and all I can find on their website is that they don't accept phone calls.

I'd appreciate any input on getting a hold of these guys.

Thanks!

Did you include your case number in the subject? most of the time they wont even respond to emails that dont have case numbers in it. If you did, just try sending it again. it might have gotten sorted into "spam"

How were the documents not "offical" enough? You probably should not have mailed them, but took them with you to your next appointment.

Try putting your case number in the subject line of your email and see if this helps.

You'll get it ll sorted. I'm sure of it!

Many times, with people in a similar situation, they don't have to go back for another interview, they simply send in the required paperwork, then the consulate wil ask for you to mail in the passport so they can put in the visa.

Yep, always best to put in ur case # on subject line! best of luck.

Thanks for the advice - I emailed them again with my case number and they got back to me in two days. They must have deleted my original.

Thanks bunches, I am a much happier soon-to-be-American!

I'll have to try that even though we haven't gotten our NOA2 yet. I have a few general questions.
