Does anyone know when and where the oath taking ceremony takes place at the VSC?
Kez/JWolf
Your Citizenship interview will be held at your local office not the VSC.... the oath ceremony is held about 4 - 5 times a year...

They don't take place at the VSC. Sometimes there are in Montpelier (Usually Sep 11), and other times they are in Burlington. Haven't heard of anywhere else...yet!

The ceremony is often not at a local office. Certainly not in VT anyway.

Thanks for that, Verika. That is gold dust! I see they have stopped ceremonies in Montpelier. I think they couldn't cope with security last time I heard about it!

Have a great time. smile.gif

Does anyone know if there is a naturalization calendar available for Massachusetts? Or, at least, how often the oath ceremonies take place? Do you have to go to the one allocated to you, or can you request to go elsewhere (e.g. if a ceremony is taking place in a different town but a month earlier)? Only, 2 months seems an awfully long time to have to wait to take the oath after the interview. If that is indeed the case, then I'm probably definitely screwed when it comes to having any remote chance of being able to vote this year... (I haven't given up hope yet!)
