Well, it's been one month since the Vermont Service Center received my I-129F application and STILL no NOA1 notification. I am beginning to worry because I had to ask for a waiver of the IMBRA rules, and perhaps they will deny me. Any suggestions?

Has your check been cashed? This is a good indication as to whether you have been assigned a case number and when they entered your details on the system. If you get a copy of the check you should find your case number on the reverse. If this is the case then your NOA1 hardcopy is not important. The NOA2, however, is very important as it is used during AOS so ensure you get a copy of that once your case is approved.

If it helps, it took 2 whole months for them to cash the check and for us to receive our NOA1 so it is not uncommon for receipts to be delayed. Not a lot you can do about this though until 90 days is up at which point they will allow you to query it.

If you have any IMBRA or Russia specific questions you might want to post them in the 'Russia' forum where you can obtain experienced advice. Good luck!
