Hi! I'm preparing for my interview in Montreal and I am confused about the photograph instructions. They request 5cm by 5cm photos for the interview. The Montreal-specific instructions I downloaded say that the photos they require are, "the same photo standard used for Canadian passport photographs." I just purchased photos from Costco and was told that Canadian passport photos are 5cm by 7cm. They told me they don't make the 5 by 5 size.

Can anyone help me make sense of this? I don't want to go all the way to Montreal and find out I have the wrong size photos!

all consulates require the standard 2inch x 2inch photos. just crop some off from the bottom and the top

we had ours done at Costco and they had no problem doing them the right size... Just in case Montreal does have a photo booth in the waiting room, before you get on the elevator..cant remember how much it is... maybe $4 and you get 4 pics..

They should be the standard for U.S. passport photos, not Canadian. I assume you were reading the Montreal Interview letter that the Department of State has posted here: http://travel.state.gov/pdf/supplements/MT...P-ENGL-0704.pdf

This appears to be outdated. This is the info from our recent interview letter:

5 x 5 cm or 2 x 2 inches .

If Costco can't do it, Walmart had no problems for me, I've also hear Shoppers had no trouble either

most travel agencies and camera stores like Black's or Mcbains will do it

Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions. I ended up going to London Drugs and they were able to make the correct size for me. I can't wait until this is over with!

When is your interview EandL?

I just got standard Canadian passport photos and the consulate (Vancouver) cut them for me.
