What about me - I'm a July filer! Pick me! Pick me!
Still no word yet although I have heard of an instance or two of people getting their NOA2 in the mail and it hasn't reflected the change on the website. I am hoping mine is in the mail any day now.

I hope so! It is getting really depressing

Hmm - but if people are phoning and getting answers that the petition is on someone's desk... then it might be worth calling again perhaps? Maybe you could give Jesse a list of questions to ask

Yeah, depending on how the next 2 weeks goes, I think I'll be giving CSC a call and checking in. They do seem to be making some progress, although I'm still rather pessimistic. On the other hand, the number of August filers is nowhere near the number of July filers, so we shouldn't really expect the 5+ approvals per day that we were seeing back in the day. But I sure wouldn't mind seeing 2 per day at the very least.

But why not? It just means if they can get through that many before then they should get through August quicker... there is no reason they should start working slower just because there are only a few Julyers left...

Someone about a week ago (racking brain trying to think who...Queen Jenn? Maybe...haven't had my coffee today) was told that CSC had been tasked with additional Visa work. I've been rolling on the assumption that as the K-1 case load drops off (and probably other case loads), they are tasked with additional duties to make up for it. If that's the case--and it's only a guess--then we would expect to see a drop off in approvals.
Just trying to make sense of a senseless situation.

I may have said that but it was only because I read where someone else had said that and I was hoping that was the case. Although I can just imagine them saying "Yeah, we're mostly through the July Filers - let's take a break now" as they dial for pizza delivery and loosen the ties. . . . .

We weren't told it was on someone's desk, they said it was on its way to an adjudicator. I really hope that all July petitions are on someone's desk but 'on it's way' is different. On its way as in within inches from someone's desk would be satisfactory at this stage and the most I am prepared to hope.

I also think, for what it's worth, that CSC will pile through Aug and Sept petitions in order to get back within their comfort zone. They will be aware from the number of NOA1's issued for these months that this is achievable.
