Do you think if you met at Cherry Blossoms, or Filipinahearts your fiancee will be denied visa at interview? I hope nobody is worried about this.....They are both marriage brokers. So, your fiancee may not receive a visa. No matter how strong the love is...you both met at the wrong place. If only you met at Yahoo Personals, or Match.com instead.

I have not read any posts for the past 2 years about visa being denied because they met thru international marriage brokers (IMBRA). Its either they are approved or put into AR. The only visa denial I have read was when this girl admitted during her medical that she was into illegal drugs.

I think you will be OK if you have good proof of an ongoing relationship such as chat logs, emails, phone bills, receipts from trips and some pictures with her family and at various places around the Philippines.

having met on an international marriage brokers site is not a solid ground for denial. as long as you can prove that you have genuine relationship you will be fine and of course a proof that your fiance/fiancee can support you, just my honest opinion. most of all, PRAYER is a powerful tool to success....GOD BLESS!

Where's PUSHBRK on this? We recently discussed this. He helped me understand that these sites are NOT International marriage brokers, when I thought they were. I'd like to hear his opinion.

I know that one of the questions on the I129F form initially filed asks if you met through a marriage broker.
I also know that Cherry Blossoms will file your papers/assist you essentialy for a fee and I have yet to actually talk to anyone that has used their services and had thought about using this service because I wanted to make sure the papers were all correct....but decided not to. Filipina heart, well seems like just a meeting place for people. Sorry to be so ignorant about both of these places, if in fact they are marriage brokers.
But it does seem to be an important area in question. I would make very sure that, from the get go, that in your hearts you know that you are meant to be with one another and have a lot of proof, ongoing proof. Just be very detailed and organized with anything you send or file..and be honest.

My now-wife and I met initially through FH, and our application was approved Dec. 2006. While I checked "yes" on the international broke box on the re-sent IMBRA paperwork, we didn't make mention of it at all in our paperwork and documentation. All eMails and chats included in the paperwork were from our yahoo or hotmail accounts. Simply told the interviewer that we met online, have met in person three times over the last year, etc. Marriage broker and FH never came up during the interview or paperwork for our K-1 experience.

If your petition has been approved then any and all IMBRA questions are to have been resolved. The interviewer is not suppose to readjudicate the petition.

Joe and I met in HeartsofAsia which is just like FH, Cherryblossoms etc and all our paperworks stated that. We filed our K1 petition March 23 , 2007. By October 3, 2007, I entered San Francisco , USA under a K1 visa. Less than 7 months of the whole process. When the consul asked me where I met Joe, I told him in HearstofAsia and he didn't even explore the issue and proceeded to ask me another question.
For me, it doens't matter where and how you met, its all about providing genuine proof of the relationship and other required documents that will give you the K1 visa approval. So those who met online thru marriage brokers, cheer up

Hello Tanjay, you can read this post...
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1474145I remember Cherry&John mentioned that they met in Cherry Blossoms and she was approved just this first week of January. So I guess, it doesn't really matter at all where the couple meet as long as a concrete evidence of the relationship can be provided.

You have nothing to worry about, my wife and I met on CherryBlossom.com, and she was approved with no problem, just be honest, and just overload them with documented evidence.

i met my husband thru cherryblossoms as well and it wasnt a hindrance at all. as long as a relationship is genuine with all the proofs presented and u meet the immigration requirements, there's no doubt of denial.
