What does your packet 3 that you received from your consulate ask for? Some consulates ask for and want to see last 3 years, some will only want last year. This really is a consulate specific question. For us, only the last years tax returns were needed, but some here on VJ state that the last 3 years were required.

I would have to ask the lawyer because I believe she got all of that. Only reason I ask in here is cuz she doesnt really respond quickly. sad.gif

The packet 3 would have been mailed from the US Consulate (in London) to your fiance's address. Your fiance's in the UK, right? Where exactly are you in your 'journey'. Has your petition been forwarded to the National Visa Center, and then on to the Consulate? Once that is done, the consulate mails out to the beneficiary (your fiance) a packet 3 (as it is known) w/ instructions on how to gather the necessary documents to be ready for the eventual visa interview. This is where the Affidavit of Support, medical exam, police clearane, visa photos are all explained in detail.

Unfortunately this a problem some people encounter when they use a lawyer for this process....info is not getting to them as fast as they would like.

Yeah I know. Its pretty frustrating not being able to rely on your own lawyer for help and instead have to write in a forum to get some type of peace of mind. I e mailed my fiance and asked. Yes my fiance in in the UK. He has his interview on the 7th.

THe 7th of February? That's right around the corner. Has he secured the police report, and booked a date to have his medical examination? From what I undersand, in the UK the police report can take up to and over month to secure. The medical also takes a full day, and it must be done at an embassy approved facility (I think you get a list in your packet 3) and you do not get the results in your hand, they're mailed directly to consulate....all can take a bit of time.

Good luck,
