I have searched for this and don't see the question or answer anywhere so if I missed it, apologies!
My fiance is visiting me here in the states now, until February 20th. Before he left Germany we called NVC and they still hadn't received our case from CSC. We weren't concerned since it was holiday time. We got a letter yesterday from NVC saying our case had been forwarded to Frankfurt. So we thought, crap, hope the packet doesn't get to him before he returns, but it should be fine.
Yeah. The packet got there YESTERDAY (the same day we received the letter here in the USA).
My question is: is there a time-frame that Packet 3 needs to be sent back to Frankfurt? Should we have his family send the packet to us here, since he'll be here for another month, or will it be fine for him to send everything back once he returns to Germany? We have pretty much everything ready, except the consulate-specific forms in his packet. It takes one day for him to get his police certs from his town (we already checked) and we're pretty up to speed on everything else.
Any thoughts from people who have been through Frankfurt or who are more in the know than we are?
