hi everybody

my fiancé and I got our NOA2 so we're trying to prepare the next step which is the embassy interview.
my problem is that I've spent 9 months in England in 2003-2004 for my studies
Do I need a police record from England?
And if I need one, does the date of the police record matter? Is it a problem if it's been issued before the date of my embassy letter? (because I'd like to order it ASAP)

On another topic, can I do the vaccinations on my own before going to the medical? and which proof do I need to produce?
Thanks for your much needed help smile.gif

Hi, I'm not French but I can answer some of your questions.

Yes, you will need a police certificate if you have resided in England for 9 months (you need one for every country you resided for at least 6 months after turning 16 years). You can obtain that now, it won't be a problem if it's issued before you receive anything from the embassy in France (I highly recommend taking care of it now - sometimes it takes a while to obtain a police certificate from a foreign country).

I took care of all my vaccinations before I had the medical done. One advise though: check out the age-specific requirements, so you don't get any shots you don't need. The usual vaccination record/shot pass is all the proof you need.

Last but not least, for interview reviews of the US consulate in France, check out the review function here on VJ: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php
