This should be really simple, but I'm struggling. I will be living with my father and my wife when I move back to America next month.

For my household size on my I-864:
Is my father related to me by birth? Yes or No.

That's the last question I have and the only thing that stands between me and my wife's interview next Tuesday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If he is your biological father then yes he is related to you by birth.

yep - anyone in the house. I had to put my mom, dad, brother, and husband...YIKES!

I made enough that it was ok - but I hated that I had to claim to "support" people that I don't!

Oh well. such is the process

thank you for your straightforward answers. I suspected that this was the case, but there were some people in this forum that were trying to say that only my children would be related to me by birth. So I will put 3 people down in my household size and everything will be done. Thanks visa journey.

oldskool,

Some people will go to great lengths to rationalize away something that they don't want to acknowledge.

If your children are related to you by birth then your father's child is likewise related to him by birth.
