I never heard back from the Advisory Opinion. Most peculiar. I'm wondering if I might hear back from them on THURSDAY???????????
ashleydpinzon

Reasons to celebrate (by celebrate I mean do the laundry). devil.gif

1. Laundry is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests find that when women do laundry they produce amounts of the hormone estrogen, which makes hair shine and skin smooth.
2. Gentle, relaxed laundry reduces your chances of suffering dermatitis, skin rashes and blemishes. The sweat produced cleanses the pores and makes your skin glow.
3. Laundry can burn up those calories you piled on during that romantic dinner.
4. Laundry is one of the safest sports you can take up. It stretches and tones up just about every muscle in the body. It's more enjoyable than swimming 20 laps, and you don't need special sneakers!
5. Laundry is an instant cure for mild depression. It releases endorphins into the bloodstream, producing a sense of euphoria and leaving you with a feeling of well-being.
6. The more laundry you have, the more you will be offered. The active body gives off greater quantities of chemicals called pheromones. These subtle laundry perfumes drive the opposite sex crazy!
7. Laundry is the safest tranquilizer in the world. IT is 10 times more effective than Valium.
8. Kissing each day will keep the dentist away. Kissing encourages saliva to wash food from the teeth and lowers the level of the acid that causes decay, preventing plaque build-up.
9. Laundry actually relieves headaches. A laundry session can release the tension that restricts blood vessels in the brain.
10. A lot of laundry can unblock a stuffy nose. Laundry is a natural antihistamine. It can help combat asthma and hay fever.

Traviesa
I love it Benita! Yay for the laundry-a healthy mind and body!!
ashleydpinzon
Gee, must be nice to just decide, "Well, I'm going to do more laundry now!" While you're at it, why don't you decide, "Well, I'm going to be more productive at work now!"

Laundry makes people happy. Can we get a big "Duh!" for that one, please? Why does it make people happy? Because it's something you have to do.

And so, we get yet another in the long list of Studies That Tell Us Stuff We Already Know. Thanks ever so, Homeskillets Congress of Laundry.
chagalafamilia
OK Ashley...not sure how to take that one, but I am guessing you are making fun of the original writer and not me. crying.gif My feelings get hurt very easily, please take it easy on me. blush.gif

Bootylicious
Benita: I loved it!!! Very cute. No wonder I feel so great now that Javier is home. My new motto: Laundry, it does a body good. good.gif
Traviesa
Benita, as I mentioned, I also thought it was very cute. Even though I don't get to do the laundry very often, we more than make up for it whenever we have the chance! No wonder I always feel so healthy when I'm with him!! laughing.gif
ashleydpinzon
No what it means is that by doing laundry you make your self more sucessful in other areas w/out even knowing it!
Traviesa
Ashley, with all respect, that's not how your last post came across. I guess it was some kind of misunderstanding. Let's not have any hurt feelings now!!
ashleydpinzon
kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif well it was actually a search for how *** promotes healthiness and i changed it to laundry and changed asian to homeskillets anyways whatever lol kicking.gif

I guess thats what happens when your hurrying so you dont get caught at work
Traviesa
Oh, so you were quoting something and changed the words?? Where did you find that quote??

By the way......................................................................I am starting to get IMPATIENT about this Advisory Opinion thing. Let them just approve/deny (probably deny) it already so we can move on with life PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bootylicious
Melissa: If you don't quit being so negative about this advisory thing I will be forced to come up there and open up a can of whoop butt! Now start being more positive! laughing.gif No seriously, you do need to be more positive. Maybe they are looking at it now and that is why they haven't responded to your email. Sending good and positive vibes your way. biggrin.gif
ashleydpinzon
i just put "*** is health improvement" in my search engine.

I do understand . YOU ARE STUCK IN LIMBO@ a
Traviesa
Exactly-limbo! And (no offense to Elmo) but I'm getting tired of seeing him as my Avatar! I want Garfield back. The happy, fat, lazy cat will not return until we're out of limbo!

Charity, you're more than welcome to come whip me into positivity, but could you come soon? I could use your help with the great move!!
Bootylicious
I will only come to whip you into shape. Not to help with the move. After that picture you sent me I want nothing to do with that. laughing.gif laughing.gif You only have 2 days left. I guess you will really have to work extra hard to get everything done now. The power outage probably set you back a while. Too bad you don't live closer, I would make Javier help you. biggrin.gif
Traviesa
Yes I will be working extra hard to make up for what didn't get done yesterday. Luckily, my mom was already planning to skip exercise class. She's got to dump everything out of the fridge. Since the power was out for so long, nothing will be good anymore. So that's my master plan for the evening-pack and throw stuff away until it's done. Or almost done. Is there anything on tv tonight??
ashleydpinzon
No TV for Melissa tonite. You have to pack!
Bootylicious
Nothing really. I don't usually watch anything on Monday nights. It's the one night I am not actually glued to the tv. I get to get other things done, ie: laundry. devil.gif
Traviesa
Ok, no calling Charity tonight. Don't know what I might hear over the phone! Just kidding. I'm sure you'll have to come up for air eventually.
Bootylicious
Yeah, you can't do the laundry when you can't breathe. You need all the oxygen you can get. laughing.gif laughing.gif
ashleydpinzon
Laundry , Laundry , Laundry. I dont know if yall have the same problem but that is about all he wants to do since he has been back. The only other thing is collecting stuff to take to mexico next time which if he has his way will be in november.

Keep our family in prayer. His cousin would have had there quincera the 22 and passed away on the tenth. Perfectly health . went to take a nap and family went to check on her and she was gone. crying.gif
Traviesa
Collecting stuff to take back Ashley? What kind of stuff?? Just curious. Sorry to hear about his prima. She was so young!!
Bootylicious
Ashley: That is terrible. It makes it even worse that they don't know what happened. I will the family in my prayers. Javier wants to go back for his sister's 15th birthday. It is in December. I have already asked off for that time so I guess we will be heading back down there. It won't be that bad. At least this time I know he will be coming back with me.
Traviesa
Meh....
ashleydpinzon
Well so far he has two leather jackets and a dvd player and some cementing tools for his dad lol.
Bootylicious
heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif Happy Valentine's Day!!!! heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif

We got Javier's Welcome to the United States letter yesterday. YIPPPEEEE!!!!! I just wanted to ask you girls that got one already, did it say they would contact you in 30 days? His says: You should hear with us within 30 days from the date shown on this notice. If any of the information about you shown above is incorrect, if you move, or if you don't hear from us within the next 30 days, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you call us, please have your A# and also the receipt number shown above available.

Did everyone's letter say this? I was just wondering why they would be contacting us. Is this just another one of their form letters they don't bother to change?

His A# on here is different than what was on his waiver letter and his I-797 for his I-129. I am glad we decided to wait to get his greencard before we went back to the SS office. That would have been a mess.
ashleydpinzon
Yes Happy Valentine's Day SISTERS!

Yes mine did say that . I think that means you should get your gc by 30 day but mine came a couple days after my letter! Dont worry it is normal!
Bootylicious
Well I figured it was but wasn't sure. Just wanted to check. Maybe he will get his card in the next couple of days. At least his came in the right order, welcome letter first, then green card.
mnmex
Charity....YEAH ON THE WELCOME LETTER!! It seems to come almost exactly 2 weeks after they get their visa. Your G.C. should come this week. Miguel's came three days later. I was concerned about the contacting thing too but I think it is just for the green card. I can't imagine any other reason they'd need to contact us.

Congrats again!! Hopefully whenever you choose to go to the SS office again, it isn't another bad experience.
Bootylicious
Stephanie: We are going to go on March 1st. They have a mobile office that comes to town the first Wednesday of each month. I hope it won't be a problem for us to go there instead of the real office. It's just too far away for us to go to the real office. We both have to take a whole day off of work and I don't have any more time to take off. Plus Javier doesn't get paid when he doesn't work.
Traviesa
sad.gif today sucks.
elvia
What's wrong Melissa? unsure.gif

rose.gif heart.gif Feliz Dia De Los Enamorados a todas heart.gif heart.gif
Traviesa
I just don't like being away from Javier on the most romantic day of the year (also happens to mark one year since we got engaged). Plus I tried to call him this morning and he didn't pick up. I had almost thought he might call and wake me today. I had to leave my "Happy Valentine's Day" on his voice mail.

I'm so glad I'm leaving early today. I'm a pathetic mess. Javier called but he didn't leave a voice mail.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Valentine's Day sucks
But I love all of you!!!
Bootylicious
Melissa: I love you too. Will you be my Valentine.? I can have two. No where in the rules does it say you can't have two Valentines.
InLoveInMexico
Feliz Dia del Amor y la Amistad a todas! One reason I love Mexico so much (or at least Queretaro where we lived) is that they celebrate friendship even more on this day vs. the US concentrating so much on couples. I think that's kinda sweet. smile.gif

biggrin.gif AWWWW rose.gif Gracias amiga cybernetica tongue.gif
Melissa like InLove said we should also celebrate the friendship that we have established on this forum. I am here for all my foro amigas yes.gif
Traviesa
I'm EVERYONE'S Valentine...where's the chocolate?????
Bootylicious
Yes, where is the chocolate? We have some nasty dark chocolate orange cream filled things here. Gross, who's idea was that? I need some good ole milk chocolate.
martaprestegui
I have a friend on I2us who got a speeding ticket in Atlanta she has court on the 14.Meanwhile her hubby is filing for her since she is ewi. Will this effect her chances for an approval.Do you think she should go to court or mail in the fine with no return address?
Bootylicious
I don't know about Atlanta but Javier had two speeding tickets before he went back. We had our lawyer take care of them for us. We just paid the fee to him and he went to court for us. If it says she needs to be there then she needs to go. I wouldn't assume it was okay for me to mail the fee in. Javier's uncle just got a ticket and it says on his he has to be in court. It doesn't give him the option to mail it in. I just wouldn't want her to get in trouble.
Traviesa
I would just mail in the fine. I don't think it will affect the immigration case since it's a misdemeanor and not CIMT.
Traviesa
My boss had left those giant Hershey's Kisses on all the women's desks. That was my breakfast, and a lovely breakfast it was!
Bootylicious
Our boss didn't do anything for us. We had breakfast here but I forgot and ate before I left the house. I am going to Walmart at lunch time. Maybe I will by myself a Valentine.
martaprestegui
Thanks for replying .I was just worried that since she is ewi that they might find out and deport her.
I will let her know that its better for her to ask if she can mail it in or if she has to be there to pay it.Thanks
Traviesa
Marta, it is very doubtful that they will deport her. This is traffic court-not immigration court.

Your boss is a chick. It would be a little funny if she had done something. laughing.gif
Bootylicious
No, our real boss is a man. The lady is our supervisor but our boss, boss is a man. He doesn't even do anything for his wife so why should I have expected him to do something for us.
Traviesa
Yeah, my supervisor didn't do anything for us either. The boss-boss doesn't have a wife so I guess he needed an outlet for his Valentine's love-spreading.
