The Vietnamese President mentioned his visit to the Paul Breaux family, a grape-planting farmer in Virginia, where he was welcomed very warmly on the morning of June 21. Mentioning the affection of the US farmer for the Vietnamese delegation, President Triet asked President Bush: “US people are so friendly; so how about the US Government?”Zing!

You know, it's interesting.....my fiancee's family are educated, well-traveled people. It took them several minutes to come up with the name Nguyen Minh Triet when asked who the President of Vietnam is. Their attitude is that they can't do anything about politics, so they just don't worry about it. They only worry about how to put more dollars (and they would prefer dollars) in their pockets.
My dad said he could never live in Vietnam. His reason: The two things he likes to talk about most--politics and religion--are never talked about in Vietnam. Ha.

I'm a political gelding. They had me fixed! I do like zingers though, especially when world leaders are slinging them. The political process/situation in Viet Nam is none of my business.
