Got all my old evidence and support crap updated and new proofs done so we should be all set. Been packing and repacking my suit cases since
4 weeks ago and am still at it like a nut. Nervous energy

What day are you leaving? And how has that other issue panned out, back home? Send me a PM. Trying to get all my prayers in order here.
Perhaps a personal assistant to keep me organized and sane.....
April 6 - 17. D-day is the 10.
My Mom now has accepted the home and likes it there, doing crafts, painting, socializing. It's all good but the finances
are $ 600 a month less for me now. A big chunck of change.
Then I have to figure out how to sell the house in Germany and the contents all the way from here.
Anyone wanna buy a house in Germany ?

If , on the 10th , you hear a very loud THUD it's me falling on the floor out of pure euphoria and exhaustion.
If you hear another one, it's him jumping so high he'll bump his head on the ceiling.
Then we will fall into each others arms and cry like babies.
Then they will threaten to kick us out and we run in case they change their minds.

Hello!!
I hope you all won't mind my imposing on your thread. I'm wondering if the Nigerian VJMs could give me some information on common health practices used in Nigeria to prevent illness or maintain wellness. Or treatments used for illness. Also what types of things would someone the health care need to know in order to take care of you or your love one? I am doing a heritage assessment for my cultural nursing care class. (already done Jamaica my SO's country) If you could PM me with any interesting remedies you have that would be great! Meanwhile I will continue my search on the net.
Thanks again...
I'll mosey on back to my neck of the woods

Ja bless Welcome Brownnskinn, am not from Nigeria but I hope someone can help you with the questions.
Maybe you can break it down a little more and make it more specific as to what you are looking for as a starting point ?
Are you only looking for the Nigerian culture ? Sub-saharan should be pretty the same everywhere with those issues I would think.

My SO exercises. He also chews on a bitter stick every day. I don't know what they are called. His family uses a lot of herbs when ill. They go to see medical doctors trained in western medicine, but I think they trust the herb doctors more.

The stick is a medicinal stick, It keeps the digestive system clean. For bacteria puposes. My guy works out a lot as well. Everywhere I went in Dakar people were chewing on those sticks. I just continued on with my malaria tablets.
Herbs are a way of life as well. I am a true advocate of herbs. I have gotten the most relief from most alternative wellness practices.
