I'm sorry you were going through a down period. Might be because you had less to do with the super bowl done and the ANC as well. After all that excitement to then turn back to thinking about the interview process coming up would surely feel like a let down. You'll sync into a new groove soon. The interview will go fine. Keep a positive spirit. Enjoy your last few months of living alone. Soon there will be another person in your space, moving your stuff around and not putting it back where he found it!

Okay, I learned something new. I want to see welcome home rosco jenkins. Has anyone seen it, yet? We are planning to see it this weekend. Last week, for my birthday, we went to see First Sunday. It was hilarious. My husband laughed louder than I did, but I had to keep hitting him to SHUT UP because he forgot that he was in the USA and not in Liberia. He kept trying to talk and give commentary during the movie, lol.

Let me tell you about people talking to the screen. When I used to live in Iowa City (imagine a small college town in the middle of cornfields where 99.9999% of the population is white) I would expressly go to movies with my Ghanaian peeps because it was HILARIOUS. They talk to the characters, tell them not to open the door, etc. Not loud enough to distract anyone but loud enough for our group to hear. Made my day and no one ever said anything. I was always afraid we would get thrown out

But now I live in Philly....where people like to be loud just to be annoying

Guess the remix has a hi-life beat goin' on behind the track. Got me groovin' over here now. I like hi-life because I'm west indian and it sounds just like a calypso-soca beat.

I was reading the Forbes listing of the most miserable cities in the US. It was kind of sad. LA, NYC, Detroit, Flint, even Chicago.....those are kind of expected. But Philly was on the list. Charlotte, NC was on the list. Providence, Rhode Island. I better stay put in Upstate NY. May run in to the occassional misdirected hillbilly, but it's not a "miserable city". The basis was long commute, high taxes, high unemployment rates and high levels of violent crimes.

Talking about miserable cities, I have lived or stayed in all of those cities at one time or another. Dang. Flint was the most depressed town, but they had the warmest people I have ever met.

I love Philly no matter what the list says.

that's a database error that vj gives when it has issues.

I thought my employer had finally figured out that I was visiting this site too much and they blocked it. They have a meter where they check certain website if they are overused. If the website is not used for education they block it. However, if you can justify the need to access that site, they usually take off the block. I was happy when I didn't get the error message this time.

Funny you mentioned that. I was wondering the same thing, too, which was why I made a post about it. The company I work for actually makes/sells software that allows employers to spy on their employees internet usage. I, too, thought that they finally caught on. Whew!
