My mom was cracking up when she was telling the story. Yeah, I'm sure when they look back at it now, they can laugh at it too. They still are inside their houses when firecrackers are popping and everyone else is outside having a blast. Wow, I just made a pun! haha!

HI everyone, my 4th was great we had a good time I did what I always do cook cook and cook some more.

It was also my sons 14th B-day he is with his Grampy in WA so he celebrated up there.

I am a little sad today, Justice leaves to go back to work tomorrow, I dont know if I like this job.....

Afternoon everyone, my fourth ended up peacefully by my-self with the barbecue.....kid's were at the swimming pool and hubby ranned errands on day off and spent hrs at a friend's house fixing his laptop almost a year into his (computer information system program). Then everyone came in to eat after I spent all day cooking alone. Ohhhhh well, I did manage to catch me a nap in between time

Morning everyone! That story about the Somolian people was funny and sad at the same time. I told my hubby about it in the car and he cracked up laughing, but he could sympathize with them since he's still a bit jumpy, too. Wars can definately traumatize people. He said last year, shortly before Liberia's Independence celebration, the media had to broadcast 3 weeks in advance that they were going to do a fireowork show. He said everyday on the radio you would hear "On July 26th, the government will be conducting a firework show...DON'T PANIC! Come and see the show at 9pm...DON'T PANIC! Tell all of your friends and family and tell everyone NOT TO PANIC! Come out and have a good time, but just DON'T PANIC!"

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. My husband and I traveled to ATL to participate in the Peachtree Road Race (10k). Never in my life did I imagine I could do such a thing. But I finished and received my T-Shirt. Of course I did not finish first, but thank goodness I was not last.

Anywhoo, I got home on Wed night/Thurs morning. We are soooo happy and have time alone before the ball of energy gets back from visiting with grandma. The cat is home though and has taken to Bassi very quickly I must say. Although, I used to put the phone to his ear and Bassi swears that he talked even though he thinks I'm crazy. Bassi is the only man who not only puts up with my craziness but seems to embrace it. God bless him. He was sent especially for me.

Ya'll are gonna have to catch me up. I'm not at work yet so I don't have time to go through all the posts. But I'll work on it slowly.

I'm so glad that I went through this with you guys!! You helped me make a memory. And this was a great memory!!

We haven't gone to Walmart yet. But we did go to Target. I warned him before we went in though, cause it's bigger than Melcom. lol

He said he wished that he brought his camera cause he wanted to take pictures! He acted like it was a tourist attraction.

When we went to Verizon, to put him on my family plan, we met a Liberian. I have met two africans in my town in however many years I've lived here and his second day here we meet a Liberian at Verizon Wireless. He was very helpful and found a very nice "free" phone for us. Free is right within my price range!

Wait till you take him to a Costco, Price Club, Sam's Club, etc.... He will flip! Kobby is still impressed! I too went to Verizon and put Kobby on a family plan. and free is always nice!!! It's good that you got him a phone early... I learned after Kobby got lost (according to him he wasn't ) and I could not reach him.
