Hello,

I was just checking some sites and I was interested into having evaluation of credentials but wondered where is the best one since it cost a lot of money as well. I am a filipina license chemical engineer before coming here i taught high school students in Math and Physics as well and I am also a license secondary teacher but only in the Philippines as it seems ... So anybody who have the same experience please help me to where should i have credential accredited? Thank you for any insight...

Hi There:

I'm a teacher in Hawaii. Many filipina Teachers here. I believe they had to send their transcripts and such to an agency that evaluated them. I think you best bet for the teacher credentials would be to ask your State Board of Education; as far as the Chemical Engineering Credential, I would contact the your state bureau of Licensing--in different US states it's called by different names--but they are the people that give out licenses for Doctors and Nurses. To find out more, just google your US state into google, and search for the state website. Look for Licensing. For the State Dept. of Ed do the same thing. If you do not want to search for this stuff, the real easy way is to call your local state representatives office, usully in the phone book under local government. OK. I hope this helps. I did a little research on this for my filipina wife who wants to get her accounting license. wink.gif

I don't know if www.wes.org may be what you are looking for.

Im currently getting my degrees translated by WES......but I definitely agree with checking out the recommended companies that the dept of education for you state specifies.....if you get a translation from a company that is not listed on their website, you could find yourself having to get them translated again which of course means more time and money.

I used WES for my BA Hons from UK and it was all very easy and it arrived within a few weeks of them having all the needed paperwork...would recommend going for the more expensive ($150 i think) option as it is ideal

I used AACRAO (www.aacrao.org/) , with a course-by-course evaluation for employment, further studies and professional eligibility purposes. It served all of that. I am also a licensed and experienced chemist by profession back home and now working in CA, USA.
