I do not see anything wrong with members using choice words to indicate a distaste for a public figure or entity. most of us have an internal censor in the real world... we don't say what we want to say because we know it will hurt or offend someone....
but it seems like the internet is fair game and people can say what they want to say regardless of how it will make someone feel....
Not to get too nit-picky, but is VJ really a true adult forum? It's been so long since I signed up that I don't remember if you had to click that you were 18 in order to join. I don't recall that. If it was there, someone let me know.
But this is a family immigration board, so I don't see why younger people couldn't be on looking for help even if it's to help their own parents.
I think OT is more obvious a name for a place where anything goes, but I don't see why there shouldn't be any censorship when anyone can be reading not just adults. I don't know why we'd assume that only adults can read VJ.
I don't curse so I don't have a need for those words to be uncensored(yes you can live life without cursing lol), though I know most people do use those words all the time. Vj isn't a complete "let loose" place, maybe OT is or the general topic areas. It's an immigration help forum. I think some other kind of forum would be a better place to let loose in every way.
