Yay!! You must be so excited!!! I see Jeremy in three weeks today if I get through immigration - just can't let myself get excited because I am too nervous!! What time do you leave?!

Tomorrow we leave Buffalo @ 5:30 and Philly @ 9:00, arriving in Manchester @ 9:00 AM.

I took the afternoon off today and all day tomorrow as I have so much to do, plus I can focus on nothing other than my trip, so there is little point to my being there anyway!!

Take care - Maggie xxx

Thankfully my Mom bought me a super umbrella for Christmas, so hopefully I'll at least keep my head dry!

Thanks for minding the list in my absence! I do appreciate it Maggie! And believe me, we will have a wonderful time! We're all so excited as its my daughter's first time to the UK. She is 8 and bouncing off the walls! laughing.gif Its her first time flying too, so I really hope she will sleep on the plane! helpsmilie.gif

As you get to Manchester's arrivals I'll be sitting in their departure lounge waiting for my flight out to Philly which leaves at 11am. smile.gif

I think Gillian will likely be in the US before I leave as I arrive in Manchester on Saturday morning! I'll wave anyway!

Are you flying US Air? I always use them for trips to the UK. Always works out to be cheapest.

I flew US to Philly from Manchester 14 months ago in cattle class was a good smooth flight leg room was ok but I flew Envoy Class on the way back to Manchester was drinking champagne whilst the cattle class was boarding I felt abit like Mrs Bucket then I got moved to the front of plane to the bed seats that was heaven.

Have a safe flight.

I booked it through www.lastminute.com

US Airways own website was a lot more expensive.

What did people submit with their Subject Access form to prove that they lived at that address?

I want to send off my Subject Access form in the next few months, but I have no official documents that give my address. I don't drive, so I have no driving licence. I don't have a medical card with my current address as I'd have to change doctors as I'm now out of their catchment area - and since I actually like my doctor and the surgery is very close to my work I'm reluctant to tell them I've moved. All my banking is done online and I have no recent official written communication from my bank.

I've sent off for a provisional driving licence and I've also paid for my bank to send me a statement in the post; should either of these two things be okay?

I used my paper NHS card.

No, but an awful lot of my friends enjoy his books! He was pretty popular throughout high school and college.

Haha - not doing a grand job posting at the moment - am running around liek a blue @r$ed fly trying to do three jobs at once! One of my colleagues is away so I get to do her work as well - yay!!

Will defo be around at lunchtime and am trying to sneak on while on hold!! How sad am I?!

If you're sad, I must be twice as sad...I put off some work to post here blush.gif

How funny. My sister and BIL's flight is leaving Manchester at 10:50. Or rather, has left Manchester. They arrive here at 14:50. So excited. But so much to do. ohmy.gif Think I'll have a cup of tea first. blush.gif

BTW, I got really confused when I kept seeing your name, Gillian. That's mine too. And, because you never see anyone with that name over here I was thinking.... Oh! They're talking to me! laughing.gif

Haha - well with our crazily slow system and me doing about three people's work I am tired stressed and have a headache!! BUT I worked through lunch so I get to go home at 4pm - w00t! Then I am going grocery shopping with my mum where I will buy a big bottle of wine and some (hopefully not too unhealthy but the way I am feeling right now unsure.gif ) munchies so I can chill out on here tonight/tomorrow smile.gif

Actually tomorrow is CSI night smile.gif
snowfrostedlashes
Glad you get to go home early Aly - you've more than earned it with such a busy day - and all that extra work and stressing must surely have burned off more calories than a normal day - so treats are in order!

Wish I had that excuse *sighs mournfully with added drama* but this is my fifth day in the land of no chocolate and I'm trying to convince myself that I might have lost half a pound.

On the plus side my Mum bought me a lovely little carry on case yesterday that she saw in a sale!

I've read his, and he recently penned an interesting biography on Shakespeare (which was very interesting!).
Alex & Rachel
Yup - definitely excused, with all that work. Enjoy your evening!

Hannah - tell me about it. I'm trying to be chocolate free, too. I know it's my one vice and I'd really love to shift some weight this year! Unfortunately my friend bought me a Crunchie yesterday, and, well, I couldn't hurt her feelings, could I?!

Instead of the occasional chocolate bar I've been spreading some Nutella on a slice of wholemeal toast. I like to think it's a little bit healthier. Fewer calories, at least!

If you have a multi region DVD player and an LCD TV you could order it from UK Amazon and have it shipped over here. That's if you can't get ahold of it in the States.
Jeraly
That is such a good excuse!! Ok - I don't feel so bad now - it is so nice being home early in my slippers biggrin.gif Think might have quick bath and get into some joeys (comfy clothes) before going to the store with mum so when I get back I can just put my slippers on and relax laughing.gif

Amazon.com has a lot of Little Britain items but I can't quite tell if they have Season 3. I just ordered The Up Series. The first 2 or 3 came on Canadian TV but then never continued, so it was driving me mad to know what happened to everyone.

I have a splitting headache wacko.gif

I'm blaming my housemate; she recently bought a new bed and it squeaks like crazy whenever she and her boyfriend have sex. 1 am and I was woken up; it felt like I was only an inch away from it.

EDIT: Region free DVD players are the best! Definitely worth purchasing.

Of course not! *laughing* I'm trying to be good because Mark will be here soon and I don't want him remembering me for the next six months as having thighs this chunky (am always at least half a stone lighter in the summer).

Hmmm... and I'm pretty sure I've seen Season 3 of Little Britain on Amazon.com in NTSC format.

Hehe

She 'only' gets to see him once every 1-3 weeks (I know, nothing compared to what we go through, right?!) so I didn't want to say anything...but perhaps if it does manage to wake me up again (I'm usually a pretty heavy sleeper) I'll ask very politely if there is anything she can do to lessen the noise. I know how difficult it is to try and curb your noise levels when you're on the floor above, though - last year we were in a different house and I was the one in the attic room, and she often had to request that I turn my computer's volume down/tread more softly when I wasn't even aware I was making all that much noise to begin with!

well at any minute this evening I'm expecting a phone call from my brother or his girlfriend. They are on a break in London whilst she is getting fitted for her bridesmaids dress for her sisters wedding which is in South Africa in March. They all going out for a meal tonight and my bro planning on popping the question. He's already warned her sister and her fiance. Kirsten is south African (hence south african wedding) and only here on a year by year employment type visa so now we trying to suss out UK visas.

I hope she says yes,she is great and her and my bro so good for each other...she's the only one of his girlfriends I've actually liked let alone had as a wine drinking mate!

Overstock.com might have Little Britian...I think I saw it recently!?

We got (from VJ) a region hack code so we could make all our DVD players region free! Love it.

I have one new dvd player that doesn't have a code yet and that is only because it is still new!
I have the website at home if anyone wants it I'll post it tonight. But I got it from some one here so maybe they'll post it.
