Does everyone in PS remember last night?

Mornin' from the fabulous PS!! I'm sure everyone remembers last night. We had a really lovely time, but thank god the drinks weren't as lethal as Lola's (that might be my fault). And we had Aly's amazing coconut rolls (what were they called?) to soak up the mojito and sangria. I think dev was right - food is needed for the next LA meetup!

AND Palm Springs welcomed us with some rain and a cool evening, it was really fabulous night!

You're alive!!! Am I the only one with the headache?! We've cleared up most of the stuff here and have Maven's blender and lighter The first load is in the dishwasher and the living room is much cooler than last night even though it is pushing 100f again

Hola -- back in Burbank now. Last night was fantastic -- I am such a good girl, I ate quite a bit of pork and them nummy coconut rolls, and switched to ginger ales about halfway through (though I did have a beer just before I left). The sangria and mojitos were fairly low alcohol, which helped. Yay for no hangover!

It was very funny though -- tee hee, nothing like a bit of gossip with the girlies...

I had a major headache yesterday all day though! We had a bit of hair of the dog and slept a bit though so it was really nice that Jeremy got the day off of work as we could just chill Am on the second/third round of dishwashering now I think we have enough alcohol left over for Hallowe'en as well!!

On last count:

2x bottles white wine
1.5x bottles red wine
1x bottle of champagne
1x liter of vodka
0.5 liters of white rum
1x bottle of mojito mix...

That's not to mention all the soft drinks we still have!!! Rock on! Can't wait 'til Hallowe'en now

Glad to hear you ladies had fun at your party. I was busy chillaxing beside a pool in San Diego. We meant to go to Mexico for the day but we forgot our passports like a couple of dolts. So we toured the USS Midway instead.

Haha - Oh we should all go on a VJ trip to Mexico (when certain of us get our AP) - that would be sooo cool

On another note, I have found the ALC-stalking-Maven posts and Ohhh it has kept me entertained for a good hour

Ginger - I have friends who have done the Great North Run. Apparently it's a tough course!

Yeah I looked at a course profile and there is one huge hill and a few other smaller ones. Of course living in flat Chicago won't make training for hills easy. The Metro has stops at the beginning and end of the course so it would work out perfect for Nicky and his family to hop on and meet me at the end.

Hmmm...I got wrangled into volunteering to help out at an opening gala/benefit for the new American Girl store up here (it is opening in one of the malls I work with). Apparently they are closing down the store at 12:30 to get ready for this big party...apparently my job is going to be dealing with angry parents whose kids are throwing a fit because the store is closed. I have to find a way to sate them...and if they ###### enough I give out a free gift.

I better get into the party for free for doing that job dangit!

For years I never realised why it had those funny numbers at the end of it... since I got a bit older and realised other countries existed I figured it out - right about when I figured out what zip codes were ( I swear as a kid I had some idea they had something to do with the zipper on jeans... )

Maybe you thought they were like Levi's jeans...I remember during that time in the 90's the 501's were hot (paired with Jason Priestly Ray-Bans of course!)

I couldn't agree with you more! It sucked out loud. It was like they were trying to take bits of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and other teenage dramas and cram them all into this new 90210. It was disastrous and very disappointing.

I spent yesterday evening swearing and shouting at the TV. After tomorrow, I'm not watching any more election coverage. It makes me too angry.

Why put off til tomorrow what can be done today?

I watched last night. I was unimpressed, but that's just me. I'll continue to watch as I am a glutton for punishment.

I'm so over this election. I just haven't felt like either side has done a great job here. Either way, the neocons still seem far more frightening to me. I wasn't even that scared until there were chants of "drill baby drill" or whatever that was they were chanting. Seriously, is that really going to solve our fuel issue? It's still going to run out eventually morons!
