well I'm sick in bed AGAIN so nothing much is making me happy sad.gif

I tell you, since I had my shots I've just been sick after sick after sick... maybe it's not related but I NEVER get sick usually so I'm extremely suspicious

of course, being run-down and stressed doesn't help much...
Alex & Rachel
Aw, I hope you feel better soon! sad.gif

I certainly wouldn't rule out the possibility that the shots may have contributed in some way...

I'm currently running on four hours' worth of sleep - shall have to get to bed early tonight. I feel the lighter evenings are worth it, though. yes.gif
Jeraly
Yeah - I think I have about five hours' sleep to my name laughing.gif I will prolly feel exhausted this afternoon then get my second wind ready to not sleep when I go to bed later laughing.gif

StP - sorry to hear you aren't well... at least soon enough you will have a glorious holiday!! Of course you'll prolly get bored fast before EAD but still - you have a wedding to look forward to as well!! Yippee!!

And I am STILL waiting on packet 4 mad.gif
StillThePrettiest
we THINK we might even have a wedding date - June 20 smile.gif

I can't see myself getting bored of glorious nothing-to-worry-me in a hurry though... it's not like there'll be nothing to DO, after all wink.gif

how long have you been waiting for P4, Jeraly? can't be much longer...
Jeraly
Oh I know - I am going to be tidying and decorating and gardening and organising but there won't be anything to really stress about (aside from money but what's new!?)

I sent my packet 3 on 13th March and it was received at the Embassy on the 19th... I just want it to all be over now - I had a horrible sinking "OMG I still have to go to medical/interview" feeling this morning... makes me sick just thinking about it blink.gif
StillThePrettiest
oh, don't be worried; those things are pretty easy smile.gif

I've read a few stories from other countries recently that made me glad all over again that I was able to go through London... we really are sitting pretty in lots of ways smile.gif
Jeraly
Yeah - it's always easy to see it being a breeze once you look back and think "ah that wasn't so bad"! Unfortunately I am not that side of the fence yet... unsure.gif

So... a wedding date set for 10 days before I move... oooooh biggrin.gif I can't wait to see piccies - we should have a July Filer gallery biggrin.gif
StillThePrettiest
well, speaking in all honesty, those things never bothered me much when I was on the other side of the fence either... I was irked at the cost of everything (I think I spent more than £400 just on police certificates, the medical, and then the visa fees mad.gif ) but never thought there would be any problems... it's the length of time everything takes, and the resulting limbo, not the possibility of a denial, that has always stressed me out

I may, of course, not be usual in that regard; I have encountered that before in other aspects of my life wink.gif

and don't count on much for photos, from our wedding laughing.gif
there won't be a big ceremony... not even sure if I'm going to get a special outfit... just going to see what happens wink.gif
charles!

Well I want to see piccies anyway mad.gif tongue.gif

I don't know - I can't see there being anything majorly hideous but I think we have just come so far and it all rests on this one little thing... It's scary to have your future in someone else's hands. And part of me is still nervous about the wedding planner contract we included in the initial packet tongue.gif Again - I am sure this will be ok because I have a letter from them and everything but still - it's scary. And kowing what rebeccajo said about going through POE - I will prolly worry about them turning me away there for the same reason tongue.gif

Hey -- anyone in London this coming weekend? I will be in town, shopping for duvets (natch) and doing some boring work-type-stuff. Anyone fancy a pint?

I wish! Though we have definitely decided on a UK trip in July!! The 20th - 27th. No London, but I'll somehow suffer through it!

I wish I was in London to have a pint!

I think the worst thing about this whole process is having your whole life in some bureaucrat/jobsworth's hands. Even when rationally you know everything will probably be fine.

I wish!! Maybe if I had something like... oh I don't know... AN INTERVIEW DATE then I might partake of a celebratory tipple with you biggrin.gif

Oooh! I'll be in the US then at last!! Yippee!! biggrin.gif

OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! My ticker shows at less than three months to go til I move!! Woohhoo!! biggrin.gif
*julez*
I am super excited to go back to the UK. My first summer visit! The final season I have yet to see in the UK. Griff syas we're going to go to a 3 day cricket match. Bring a book or a newspaper or something. unsure.gif Hopefully we don't have to go to all 3 days!
StillThePrettiest
oh, but it can be such fun... so relaxed and easy, specially if you've got good weather smile.gif

summer here is GORGEOUS smile.gif
*julez*
But I still have so much to see in the UK that 3 whole days at the cricket seems 2 days too many!
StillThePrettiest
hmm, yes; very good point... but if it's a rural match, and you're sitting on some village green somewhere in the sunshine, drinking ale... oh, what castles or cathedrals can compare?! smile.gif
rkl57
3 days at the cricket sounds like 3 days too many tongue.gif

Although it's a good excuse to drink lots of pimms
*julez*
I think we'll stick to one day of the 3 day cricket! Afterall, I need time to get to Blackpool and ride the coaster!
StillThePrettiest
oh, I'd take Pimms on the green over the coaster any day of the week tongue.gif
*julez*
but what about getting my picture taken next to the Penny Lane street sign in Liverpool?
StillThePrettiest
hmmm...

Pimms on the green tongue.gif
*julez*
sigh....I've never had a Pimms, let alone a Pimms on the green...
Jeraly

Hmmm I can kinda understand... but still... sitting in the sunshine with a nice cold drink on the green with your husband... watching the cricket (I actually happen to come from a bit of a cricketing family so like *and* understand it... just not the 20 year long test matches)

Agreed!!! I *love* pimms... although it never quite gets you drunk... needs to have cucumber, strawberry and mint in it as well to make it proper biggrin.gif Mmmmm smile.gif

Ok - I'm with you on that wink.gif That and finding a few friends to go to Abbey Road and mock up the album cover laughing.gif
StillThePrettiest
Pimms is the taste of summer smile.gif
*julez*
Well, I'm still only going in for one day of the three day cricket. Pimms or no Pimms.

One day is all you'll need!

The great thing about cricket is how you can just turn up and any time and watch for any length of time. It's not exactly a sport where you have to sit and watch the entire match.

I love Pimms too. Haven't had it in months and months, though.
StillThePrettiest
no, nor likely to sad.gif

I wonder if I can start a Pimms importing agency in the States... dry.gif
Jeraly
I'm sure you can find it out there smile.gif Jeremy loves it as well wink.gif

I really think I am going to be debz II
StillThePrettiest
hump day = Wednesday... so named because on Wednesday you get over the 'hump' of the middle of the week, and from then on it's all downhill til Friday wink.gif

P.S. I hate the term 'hump day'.
