Oh that's great news!!! I found out today that my EAD was ordered (and my AP) on November 18th so I need to start looking for a job I am such a wuss - I am really nervous about it. I figure it's just because it is another change and I've kinda settled into my routine of housework, cats and internet

My MIL is fine - a little on the "interesting" side but then Jeremy's whole family is so that's nothing new But I had just as long to get ready for my wedding too - I booked my hair appointment for a reasonable time and got there to find that they hadn't written it down and were dealing with someone else... I had to wait for an hour to get my hair done so by the time I got back I had 15 minutes to get dressed, do my make-up and everything!!! It was a nightmare!

I am just looking for jobs and have found a great one as an assistant manager for a jewelry retail store which is not only easy to get to on my bicycle, but also fits in with what I want to do for my own business... thing is I haven't a clue how to write a resume and apparently they *are* different to CVs... so if anyone has any hints or examples... I am going to look online in a few to see if I can figure it out myself...

The facts: Charles! has never posted in this very long-running thread before. He discovered that we were having a fun spirited discussion about his utterly ridiculous combination of insanity and random images in another thread, and he decided to join in.

As for myself, I am a willing participant. It certainly seems as if Charles! is a willing participant, but honest to god I simply cannot tell what goes on up in that dark, scary, attic, and I for one don't want to be the one to go up there and find out.

As long as he's not moving threads around, I really don't care what he does. I have accepted his apology already for moving the last one, so as far as I'm concerned it's ancient history.

Jeraly, I'm SOOOOO sorry I missed seeing your EAD! Congratulations!!!

Oh don't start!! I am dreading telling mum because not only will she be asking me CONSTANTLY about how many jobs I've applied for etc etc. I also know that she will be looking for me herself and suggesting anything that appears to be even vaguely suitable (mum has a habit of providing me with info about jobs that I am either severely underqualified for or lack the experience in ). She is convinced that a teaching degree will be a good substitute for a business degree required to work in a financial institute or something as a manager... stuff like that I found one job already - I just have to figure out what the heck a resume looks like compared to a CV so I can transpose all my info...


I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Mine took aaages which kinda sucked... now I am in the nice comfy routine of being here, working on my jewelry things and now I have to go out into the big scary wide world and get a job. In a foreign country. Ohhh I hope I end up somewhere where people won't freak about my accent

If it's any help, there is a spreadsheet for the August AOS/EAD/AP filers that might give you an idea about how long things have been taking You might not have to wait so long after all - I was just a late bloomer But then I figured after going through the whole July Filer thing that the 90+ days for EAD was a walk in the park
