Adriano got his suit last nite, he looks simply adorable in it!! Yea, we aren't superstitious, and I went shopping with him for it...there is no one else who can translate for him, and I know he would have been terrified to go alone with my sister...not that she is scary, but they just can't communicate to one another...

OH, andddd I just got back from ordering the wedding bands!! The jeweler was like one of those old school jewelers you would see in a movie or something. He is like a third generation New York jeweler and he was very personable and not pushy but a great salesman nonetheless.

This is all so exciting, it's getting soooo close!!

well....we made it and my sanity is still mostly intact. The wedding was yesterday. The weather was AMAZING. Everything went so well. Only issue was that Nick's hands had swollen in the heat and I couldn't get his ring over his knuckle but other than that couldn't have asked for a more special day. I'll get some pics soon.

I am sooooo sorry you are feeling homesick...I know how hard that can be. hang in there, it does get better. are you planning a visit back anytime soon? sometimes that helps. do you know if there are any meet-up groups in your area?? we found a brits meet-up here in Seattle (just googled 'meet up seattle') and are planning on attending this month! apparently there are a bunch of brit expats here who meet at a pub like once a month to hang out and they celebrate english holidays and such. Should be fun and a bit of a connection to home for Matthew. maybe there is a similiar german group in your area??? ((((HUGS))))

@ stp: i would most defo go for lindt, but it's the most expensive, too. ritter is my second choice, milka the third. but at the moment i would even kill for milka *g*

@ all: last weekend we were travelling through the national parks in utah, and i had to get my suitcase out of the closet where it was sitting since i arrived. the luggage tags of the airlines were still on them, and it completely puzzled me that i really had the guts to get on that airplane, or, first of all, to pack all my stuff, to plan the whole move and weddign and stuff, and then, to really walk up to the counter of the airline and check in ...... do you know what i mean? looking back today, i can hardly believe that i really had the guts to do it. and if it was worth it. i really question it. i feel like a bad person. but i really do. i spent about 3h crying just about the luggage tags.

i don't question marrying, i question if i will be happy here longterm. and i try to figure out what i need to do to become more happy longterm and shortterm. i try to be realistic about things, and i try to be positive about things. but man, its hard.

well, yesterday my family threw me a surprise bridal shower...i had no idea it was coming, and was completely shocked when i walked in...i thought we were just going to a bbq at my aunt's house, but when i saw my best friend there, i knew something was wrong

it was a beautiful day and we really had a wonderful time...adriano also warmed up to some family members that he hasnt met before, or hasnt had the chance to mingle with very much (yea, he was at the party too)...we got sooooo many wonderful things for our new apartment in indiana, and the best part is that all of the fragile items are already neatly packed away with tissue and bubble paper saves us a bit of work for the move

the wedding is friday, and the party is sunday...i cant wait!! yay

I'll be writing up a review in a bit, but overall it was pretty quick and painless; they were very friendly and the only bad part was getting up at 5am today.

We told them we are getting married on June 20 and our interviewer told us we'd have our visa in plenty of time, so hopefully it will arrive in just a few short days. I asked if we could pick it up in person tomorrow but they said no. Oh well, didn't hurt to ask.

I will be in Canada until June 16th, when we move Scott down! So we'll be here in Montreal until Wednesday, and then travel back to Toronto together, where we'll stay until the move.

I'm very happy.
