w00t!! Finally updated spreadsheet again! Lemme know if anything needs updating - wedding dates, baby info (Chris!!), POE stuff blah blah blah... almost time to move the AOS sheet to the front biggrin.gif
rae_and_scott
We actually received the P4 letter on the 13th. Well, I'm not sure if it was the 12th or the 13th b/c Scott was away, but I put the 13th in my signature since we received and sent back P3 on the 13ths of other months and so I just thought I'd keep it consistent with the 13th. wink.gif
Anyhoo, it is a minor detail, and I don't actually care if you change it or not! Thanks again Aly for keeping the spreadsheet up to date.
AOS coming to the front is a very exciting prospect. biggrin.gif
Jeraly
Lol - tbh I think there are so many inaccuracies on the spreadsheet it isn't even funny but I just want the K-1 part done now!! The ones with asterisks I have sent messages to for updates so fingers crossed we can sign some more off soon biggrin.gif Then it is just AOS!! I feel a bit sad with my little August wedding date - everyone else is much earlier than me sad.gif
rae_and_scott
I can relate; that's how I feel with my interview date.
But it's all happening this summer! Then on to AOS! woooohoooo!!

Oh and I say just go ahead and delete people who seem inactive... lol, but I'm mean like that.
Jeraly
Yeah - well I leave them on there for reference but grey them out... the ones I contact are ones I think are active but haven't updated timelines and suchlike smile.gif

Ooooh Sara!! I hope it goes well for him!! Great that it has happened so fast though!! Hopefully it will mean he won't be hanging around bored much longer!! Any news on the baby front yet? whistling.gif

Thanks Jeraly! I just talked to him and they kept him in the interview for 2 HOURS!!!! apparently another candidate came and went while they were still talking to him. They took him out for coffee and introduced him to every member of staff....he feels really great about it and this company is his first choice, so that would be awesome! He has another interview tomorrow (different company) and a possible third later this week. He let them know that he had other interviews but that this company was where he would like to be, so the director of human resources told him they would let him know by the end of the week this week and then she told him at the end that he was at the top of their candidate list! he feels super good about it. soooooooooo you're right, hopefully he won't be bored for too much longer.....although now that his time off work is short, all the sudden its not so miserable! smile.gif no news on the baby front yet......its really only the first month since we decided to go for it. but the trying sure is fun blush.gif and I'll keep you posted! can't wait to be on that spreadsheet luv.gif
Jeraly
Yippee!! Am so glad it is all coming together for you though and so great that it has all happened so perfectly for him!! I hope I have the same joy when it comes around to my turn to get a job!! Would be awesome!!! biggrin.gif I know I am going to get a great letter of recommendation so hopefully that will help biggrin.gif

just a quick update, my mother has proceeded to double the guest list for the wedding reception...i am turning into a bridezilla as a result, because i wanted a very small personal wedding, but of course she is paying, so she is taking over and inviting people that i have met maybe once or twice in my life wacko.gif

Oh Wow ohmy.gif Does that mean 40-45 guests becomes 80-90 now? Thatīs a lot rose.gif But I hope you will enjoy your big day anyway biggrin.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif Hugs for Susie having a celebrity wedding biggrin.gif

I actully tried aqua aerobics for the first time in my life today and I think itīs cool. Though have to get an even tougher sunscreen if I wanna go more often cuz itīs under the pretty blue sky and the sun keep shining here like crazy. I think I will upgrade from protection 30 to like 60 tongue.gif
Poiteen
make sure it's waterproof sunscreen, or it's basically useless star_smile.gif
Scott and Marta
Yes sir good.gif So do you have plane tickets yet? smile.gif
Scott and Marta
Hey I just noticed...I am actually using 50 sooo do they have like 80 in the stores? tongue.gif
Poiteen
no, no plane tickets, I don't even have a definite date yet.

My OH just got word that his step dad is very sick. sad.gif I looked up flights for him to leave for Miami tomorrow and they would be around Ģ400 return. He has to talk to his mum first and see if she want's him to fly out.

looks like last minute flights are cheaper than 2 month in advance flights ohmy.gif
Scott and Marta
Well sometimes yeah. Especially when itīs a single person flying. Cuz with such person they can just fill in some blank seat. Sorry to hear about step Dad. Hope he will be fine rose.gif

I think STP and Dave are flying to the U.S. in 5 days kicking.gif

Yep, they arrive on the 25, if I'm not mistaken!

I've been much more of a lurker here lately. Feeling sorry for myself a bit, I suppose. Our new house deal fell through cos when we had the inspection done, the house was found to have a major structural flaw. I know, better to have found out now, but I am so sad as I loved that house and the area in which it is situated. There are no other homes in our price range in that area, so we are back to square one.

Enough about me!

Susie & Rae - I have enjoyed reading up on both of your upcoming weddings! I'm sure they will turn out to be lovely occasions.

Aly - I wish I could help you destress. I hope everything works out for he best with jeramy and his job. Any news on the apartment quest?

Gillian - Copngrats on your transfer to CSC!!! We still haven't heard a thing on any of Griff's petitions yet. Fingers crossed we have his AP by the time we leave for the UK on 20 July!!

Marta - I just love your bright sunniness! Its always fun to read your posts.

Poiteen - I hope you guys are OK. My thoughts are with you guys. rose.gif
Scott and Marta
Oh poor Julez rose.gif Thatīs too bad but really good that you found out smile.gif So why canīt you stay in the house you are living in now? Afterall you remodelled it all and put so much work into it smile.gif Or is it too small, too big or something else? rose.gif

Jason-Sasha are doing great, are busy and are pregnant biggrin.gif kicking.gif

Its really too small, Marta. And we want to be in a different neighborhood and just have a home that we picked out together. So we're continuing our search!
rae_and_scott
Oh I'm sorry Julez. sad.gif I know I would feel very disappointed too if I were in your shoes. Sometimes you just fall in love with something, even if there are logical reasons why you shouldn't have them.

Like, foreign boyfriends. laughing.gif j/k

Hopefully you'll find something you love even more and end up being happy this first one didn't work out. Cheesy but true: everything happens for a reason. wink.gif
*julez*
So true Rae!

The first husband I picked was defective, but second is a keeper for sure!! Hopefully we get lucky and find an even better house!

Julez - apartment hunting is coming along but slowly. The good news is that Jeremy has finally been given a payrise biggrin.gif They've taken him off of salary until things settle down and have put him back onto an hourly rate of $15 an hour biggrin.gif With all the crazy overtime he is getting at the moment while things are sorting themselves out, he is taking home over $800 this week after tax!!!

I am now eyeing up a nice mac laptop... innocent.gif

And Aly, I'm glad you said what you did. He was a rude mofo. headbonk.gif
Jeraly
LMAO - glad I got you guys supporting me biggrin.gif

Jeremy visited an apartment in Palm Springs today... it looks AWESOME!! It's pretty small but it has a private patio and garden (again, small but cute) and it looks clean and well kept - has a pool as well biggrin.gif

On top of that, there is a reason why I want to live in PS:

QUOTE
Palm Springs Climate

Palm Springs is noted for warm, clear, dry weather with year-round sunshine and only 15 to 20 days of rainfall annually. Daytime temperatures range from 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius) to 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius) during the winter and up to 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius) in the summer, but with very low humidity. Winter evenings range between 40 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) and 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius), while summer evenings average 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius).

quick drive-by from me to say that yes, we leave (and arrive!) on the 25th, which is in just a few days... packing has almost been finalised, and we did the seating for the party this morning... almost there smile.gif

oh, and none of my nails have broken despite all the work I've been doing so I should be able to paint them up nicely for Saturday laughing.gif

however, we have done SO much eating out I think we've both put on a number of kilos, so my plan to start serious exercising once I get to the States has taken on a note of urgency unsure.gif tongue.gif

julez, so sorry to hear about the house... but yes, MUCH better to find out now; you'd have ended up hating it if it had cost you money and time and been a stress, so this way IS better, though it doesn't seem it smile.gif

glad everyone else is doing well... see you all soon biggrin.gif
I'll be hanging out on here much more, starting from next week wink.gif

xx
Scott and Marta
Ohhh that sounds wonderful smile.gif STP is nice and healthy, eating out a lot and relaxing biggrin.gif Whatīs happening on Saturday that you need your nails for it? unsure.gif

no not harsh at all Jeraly! in fact I had to add my own response because he clearly had a lucky experience that most people to not, so to make statements that seem to imply the rest of us are idiots is not cool....this process is highly discriminatory - albeit across the board - so sort of equal opportunity discrimination!

btw - Matthew got the job at the first place (his top choice!) they called 2 hours before another interview to tell him! he went to the other interview anyway just to check it out, but is really happy with the job he has been offered. I know its only been 4 months (5 by the time its all done) but man oh man am I looking forward the world of dual income again! ahhhhhhhhh what a relief it will be smile.gif
Jeraly
laughing.gif

Oh StP!! Sooooo exciting!! I can't wait until the craziness settles down and it is my turn to move!! Just a little over five weeks now! Part of me feels like it is ages away, while the other part of me feels like it is coming far too fast - it's an absolute rollercoaster!!

I'll get Jeremy to put some pics of an apartment we looked at online when he gets up so you can all see - they seem to have limited attachments to 10k each which sucks sad.gif The apartment is in Palm Springs (which I love!) and is about a mile from the Main Street, so far enough away that it is quiet, but close enough to walk there and go shopping biggrin.gif *and* there is a Stater Brothers down the road so I can do the grocery shopping biggrin.gif We applied for it so just keeping fingers crossed now biggrin.gif

Have found somewhere that actually offers travel insurance for me *and* Daisy (cat) which is awesome!! I just need to find out about medical insurance in the US and all that jazz so I can figure out exactly what I need... Knowing when Jeremy is coming out would help as well - we have to get a train to Heathrow because of Daisy which is really expensive but I also want to book his coach - and I can't do that until we know when he is going to get here...

It all just seems a little crazy right now - as soon as I think I am on top of things, I remember something else I need to do!!

Oh Sara! That is fab news!! Tell him congrats from me! Not that he even knows who I am but still tongue.gif

thanks, we are pretty thrilled right now! and his dad is coming to visit from London today, so we are headed off to the airport soon. its sweet - his parents have been married like 29 years and have never traveled without each other until now, but his dad had time off that his mum didn't so he decided to come for a visit anyway! should be great smile.gif and then his mum is coming in august by herself just to say she can go on her own too.....they crack me up! of course they are coming again in October.....together!
