That's too bad about the apartment (the pics did look pretty nice, pool and all). Does Jeremy look on Craigslist? I would guess him being a Californian and all he must know about it, but I don't know if there are listings for your area.

I don't know if he checked there or not but that is where I looked - there was a lot on there - it is where I found that apartment - but it's difficult finding it in a suitable area because he works in the middle of nowhere!!

We have the new site to check anyway - it cost $50 for 30 days but it has had good reviews... keeping fingers crossed...

Oh my god!! that is unbelievable about that guy getting shot!! Cops always look out for cops so I am saddened but not surprised that they got off. Well done to the people protesting though!

you never know, when i worked the night shift, i would often sleep past 3 pm...at the time i had days where my classes would start at 5:15 pm, and it was often a struggle to wake up!!

Aly - keep your chin up girl. You'll be here in no time. I just wanted to let you know that Phil is so happy to be here and is just happy to be with me. Sure he misses his family, but they are just a phone call away. When you're with Jeremy - nothing else will matter. You will make friends so fast you'll be chasing people away with a stick. LOL - You will be welcomed with open arms by everyone who meets you. And don't worry too much about housing - it's very abundant and whatever you choose - it will be yours and Jeremy's - together.

We have our marriage license and Phil's social security card sorted out. Next weekend is the big day. I haven't found a dress yet - not as easy as I thought but I'm frantically searching. The house purchase will be closed on June 1 and the new kitchen will begin. Our move in date is tentatively scheduled for mid July. I am hoping I have given enough time for the remodel project. I can't wait until we get this place to start our lives together. It has been hard with him moving into my house and will be a good idea to have "our" house. He is adjusting quite well and has quit following me around - which I'm glad of. Not in a bad way but now he feels more comfortable to meander about the house without me right next to him. We still have a lot more adjusting to do.

I´m so silly I go to Subway cuz I´m hungry. I pass the big signes without reading them and the girl asks me what I want. I realize I forgot what they call the thing I want (which is Foot Long ) so I tell her I want the one for 5 dollars So she asks what bread I want. And I realize I forgot what they call the bread I wanted and I can´t see the sticker with the breads anywhere so I say Oatmeal Instead of HoneyOat And when she asks what veggies I want on it I read some of the ones they have on the sticker including pepper (which is supposed to mean green bell pepper), but I don´t pay much attention to what she is doing and then when I eat the sandwich, I keep wondering, why is there so much pepper (the seasonings) in it? They never put it there. And then I realize the girl didn´t give me any green bell pepper and decided to give me the pepper seasonings instead But it was yummy anyway

i worked at subway for 2.5 years, i have heard a lot of things, but i can honestly say that i have never had anyone come in and ask for 'oatmeal'

Can I get a bowl of oatmeal for 5 dollars? And put some pepper on it

Thank you all so, so much for your congratulations. I'm so, SO incredibly happy that we can plan the end of this and be together soon! This past weekend when Scott was here I said, "wouldn't it be nice if this was our last visit?" and it turns out it was. The next time I see him we will be together and we won't have to say goodbye.

Marta, you are right, it is Scott's interview, not mine. But I'm the organized one, so I've been calling DOS and keeping track of all the info and everything. Plus I will be there with him so I guess I think of it as my interview too, even if it's not. But I didn't want to just wait for Packet 4 to arrive b/c I have heard plenty of stories of people not getting theirs from Montreal and either finding out after their interview date or with almost no notice. I didn't want to be in that boat so I've been calling DOS every 2-3 days.

Julez, my mom works nights and she's not usually up till 4.30. Course as I write this it's almost 6. I understand you're anxious! Did you hear anything yet?

isn't this just the BEST feeling?? Dave and I saw each other in the first week of September, then for three days over New Year, and he arrives in early May... three meetings, each exactly almost four months apart

Yay!! It is the best feeling. I am tired of saying goodbye all the time. We've done it so many times that it's not even hard anymore. Which doesn't mean it doesn't suck, it's just that we're so used to it. No more of that!
How long will you be together in Australia before returning to the US?
I want Scott to get home so we can talk and plan our details. I am way too into planning and he is way too into not.
Ooooh, we get to pick a wedding date now.
