ouchy mama! I frequently shoot beverage out my nose whilst reading some of the idiocy and ensuing clever remarks. I can assure you, Diet Pepsi doesn't feel very nice when shooting through one's nostrils, either.

And I wasn't around most of the weekend, so I had to do all the catching up this morning.

Y'know what's funny (like...sad funny) to me, is that the first time I read the "they are messing with people's LIVES!!!!!" quote (or paraphrase) was in the case filings forum, by one particularly vocal MENA petitioner. (not that there's anything wrong with that.) God forbid you try to reason with this woman, because she was out for USCIS blood. IIRC, she was outside the normal processing times, but her tirades started even when she was well within them. She was gonna organize rallies, write letters to the President, march on Washington, and--if memory serves--call on her hoards of flying monkeys. And then she got her approval and *poof* gone.

Not that this has anything to do with the price of tea in China, but the current mish-mash of topics made me think of it.

and it reeks of entitlement; forget that most of us have already won most human lotteries that exist (got fresh water, a place to live, and exist on more than US$1 per day? then you're doing FIIIIINE); somehow waiting OMGMONTHS for something that we'd really like a bit earlier is on a par with Bergen-Belsen... I'll be the first to admit that the last nine months or so haven't been my happiest, but within context, I'd say it's WELL worth it, and actually, not that difficult

At first I thought it was a typo, then as the days...uh, weeks...er, make that months...wore on, I realised it was a personal problem.

Oh man and it wasn't just that one word either.
But I remember when Jason-Sasha replied to one of her posts and simply wrote CRATES correctly, in all caps, and then she stopped spelling it wrong. I was so relieved when he did that, b/c I really really really wanted to correct her but I didn't want to be rude and I know some people just can't spell. My SO is not the best speller. But she took it to a whole new level... over and over and over! lol

Yanno, by allowing that mis-spelling to go on unfettered like that, you were messing with people's LIVES.
