Actually, it was easy. I located the phone number to the local office of my congressman, and called. I told the person who answered, i was looking for K3 petition assistance. She told me the lady who handles this is out of the office, but took my contact info. Within one hour, the lady called me back. She asked me what country my wife is from, her married and birth name, her DOB, I-130 and I-129 reciept numbers. Then said "As soon as I have information from the US Citizenship and Immigration Service, I will contact you." I hope it helps.

Example of Letter I sent ( This is just my personal letter sent)

To Congressman XXX

I needed support with my Immigrant Visa application for my wife. Details are below:

Petioner: XXX
Married XXX

Filed I-130 (Spouse of US Citizen) in August 2007

Received Case number XXX (Case number cannot be checked online due to USCIS delays in inputting I-130 data)

Filed I-129 (K3-Visa-Spouse of US Citizen) as well based on I-130 sent evidence (USPS Mail Receipt/Copy of Check Sent for I-130 Fee)

Received Case number XXXXX(This case number can be checked online as it is input already by USCIS)

My case has been in the system since August 2007. It is a multi-step process and I am still at the very beginning of this process so I am quite concerned about the completion timeline and not knowing the current status. I have tried calling USCIS offices many times. I would like to know where/what stage my case is in and if any other info is required by USCIS to move my case forward. It is quite a straightforward immigrant visa application case: first marriage for both, no children/no divorce, no adverse history etc. and she has a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from a University in XXXX

I would appreciate if your office can get some precise updates on the case and any support to make this process go more efficiently with my wife I-129-K3 VISA application which is supposed to faster and timelier.

Your help in supporting me with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance -
