I don't know if anyone else uses this tactic but it has worked wonders for us. While we are chatting I will keep a window open and use a picture from images.google.com if need be. I also use vdict.com to translate. You have to be careful with this though as sometimes things can literally be lost in the translation!

I have used Google maps to show Thi where I live and shown her where she lives. I have used my digital camera to take pictures of the things around the house, etc to show her as well. I haven't used Google Image search. I'm a little old fashion, I use Google to search the topic then find the pictures on the site....... I keep forgetting to click Images when I search..... old habits?.......

Haha, excellent! I have also used Google maps/satellite to show Mai Anh about the houses I am looking at buying. I made her a map showing my parents' house, my ex-wife's house, supermarkets, etc.
I found her street in Ha Dong, but the houses are jammed so close together, I can't recognize her roof.....
BTW, I just got a call from the realtor and I have a counter-offer on a house I made an offer on this morning. I wish the USCIS worked so quickly.
