well once your approved petition get to national visa center or nvc for short the fees are as follows

affidavit of support fee is 70 usd
and the I v bill is the one that just went up is now 400 usd
now the whole process is for I-130 is the first paper you file with uscis that is 355 usd then it goes to the nvc once it is approved then you pay the fees i mentioned above if married less then 2 yrs you have to file for lifting of conditions which is another 455 usd after 2 yrs of marriage good luck

well with your husband being in the army i am not sure but i think it could be rushed through some how not sure though there is more people that might know more about it then me so dont get hopes up too high i could be wrong
well congratulations with 2 yr mark comeing you would qualify for IR-1 visa which means you would get 10 yr green card instead of conditional one so you wouldnt have the 455usd fee to lift conditions

Well I had this experience..

My wife and daughter are in the Philippines.. My daughter was born in the Philippines and we had to Register her birth @ the US embassy and get her a US Passport..

It was pretty easy.. You just have to go to the embassy and pick up the requirements..

Then call the embassy and they will pick em up.. After they receive your application it will take a week to review em..

Then they will call you on the phone # you provided for your Interview date..

On the Interview.. You need to present Evidence of the USC father being with you when your baby was conceived.. Pictures, etc..

Basically proof of bonafide partnership..

You are right, the birth needs to be reported to the embassy and it's best if your husband is there personally so he can present his passport. I would call them for info on the best time to go and if you need an appointment.

Fees that you will have with the IR-1 are:
Application fee.......$355
Fee for I-864.......... $70
Visa fee..................$400
Medical...................$145 equivalant in PHP
Document Verifecation........650 PHP
CFO seiminar and stamp......650 PHP
Visa delivery fee 165PHP in Manila, a little more outside the city.

While he is in the PI, try to collect all the proof you need and download and fill out forms, especially the DS-3032 and DS-230 so that your agent of choice has them and you don't have to depend on the local postal service or use the more expensive private carriers to send these to the U.S.

My daughter doesn't need to take the Medical... Since she already have a US Passport..

But know this.. The USC child needs to get an Exit Permit from the Bureau of Immigration (Intramuros) in order to leave the Philippines.. he/she is accountable for overstaying fee.. I don't have any idea why? Its just it is what it is..

You might also ask the embassy about Direct Consular Filing since he is deployed with the US military. It would save save sending things back to the US to be able to give the consulate the I-130.
