She needs to file bankrupt due to past debits left from divorce years ago.. wiil this effect her papers .. allready approved .. has good job now,, np but over whelmed.. with ex debits But does not wnat to cause a issue with papers.. They wnat to garnish wages for his debit.. so she wants to go banrupt I do not have answer for her.. also for interview in states or do they even ask that.. as long as you show income tey need??? Help her plz

Is your friend a USC? What is she applying for? What are the papers for?

Bankruptcy is not an issue as far as the Affidavit of Support is concerned - all they ask for is prrof of income. I filed 6 years ago for ch. 7 and don't anticipate it having any effect on our case.

As long as she meets the poverty level (or uses a qualified cosponsor) she should be fine. They don't care about credit, debt, etc.

That is correct, it won't be an issue if the income level is met.

Dont sweat it they will not check the credit history.
