So my husband and I went to the DMV yesterday to renew his DL because the one he had was only valid for a year - while the AOS was pending.
We took his passport and showed the guy his I-551 stamp in the passport. We were told my husband will be issued a new DL valid for 6 years. dancin5hr.gif
I'm glad because in Florida they write TEMPORARY in red on the DL if it's good for a year or less.

My husband was all upset when he got the one that said TEMPORARY on it. He's like, CAN I BLACK THAT OUT WITH A SHARPIE? I was like, uh, no not a good idea to deface government property. (I know in NY they can get you on that if you chalk a license, not sure about here.)

The weird thing was, the one they issued him when he had a tourist visa and only a tourist visa didn't say TEMPORARY on it. It expired every year or two years, though.
