If I were to go to a field office, would they be able to explain these recent updates which were made to my case ? I went there 4 years ago before going to Panama and they told me the I-129f only took 3 months to approve.

I dont know if they would explain them, but I would think that they could.

they are actually better than the CSC people on the phone.. those people on the phone know nothing.. all they see is what you see when you register online at USCIS.. I don't know why they are even getting paid.. mad.gif

The field offices have no window into the stages of processing individual cases at the service centers and often give wrong answers about parts of the process for which they are not specifically trained. Most reports I see from field office visits are of dissappointment. It actually can hurt to try but if you're desparate, it's not all that bad an idea to try.

I thought us State Employees were bad.At least we NEVER tell a client "I don't know," on the phone or in person. We are famous for giving people the run-around. rolleyes.gif
