The only VSC approval on our timeline I can see is AishaandMusa ..... that was an expedite case via a Senator/Congressman .... in which case, there are no approvals without expedite on our January timeline out of VSC

What about rajee? I don't think he had an expedite - he is the 'only one' I was thinking of.

I'm just so glad I am going to KTM and can get a vacation from this waiting - of course if nothing has happened by the time I get back then I will be even more depressed...

I know exactly how you feel - when I originally planned to visit Govi in KTM I thought for sure he would have his interview in the fall and we would be together by Christmas at the latest, so our next separation would be 'only' 6 months, now who knows??? I can wait, was prepared to wait when we decided to just go with the CR-1 instead of K-3, but was counting on it not being longer than a year - it is the uncertainty which is killing me. It will be so hard getting on that plane to come back not knowing when we will see each other again - I wish I could just stay there with him...

Hey guys - Trust me, I know how random the process is ...

I applied for K3 - sent both petitions together - they were sitting at Chicago for God knows how long before VSC got them and entered them in their system ... I have proof that Chicago got them both on Jan 17th! (You can see that they entered them in the system 2/22/08.)

So ... after waiting a month to get IN the system (and being SCARED that something went wrong while all of my buddies on this thread got their NOA1s and I didn't ...) ... LO AND BEHOLD I come back from India after visiting my wife and not knowing if I'm waiting another 3 months or what ... and I was APPROVED! ...

It's absolutely insane and I can only say that I pray honestly and with all my heart that EVERYONE here gets approved ASAP ...

As of now I've obviously dropped the K3 idea since my I-130 has been approved for 3 weeks and is halfway through the NVC process ...

NVC Case number was assigned 5-20-2008!

Hi everyone I knew that waiting makes us so impatient sometimes because we all want to be with our love one, but you know guys I have the feeling that it wont take much longer. Sooner you will be suprised that you already got the NOA2 from your mailbox. Keep on praying six (the usual timeframe) months is not yet over so you guys still have one month, if not then try to call them and find out what's goin on with your petition.

Came home from lunch and checked mail. Here it is- an envolepe from USCIS. Can't believe my eyes!!!! Called hubby straight away and he have to calm me down as he can't understand what I was talking about.

No touches since 2/19/2008 (in fact I just checked before we go for lunch). Really happy and fortunate.

I am leaving to see my Govi in less than 24 hours and have lots of packing left so just wanted to check in and see if there was any more action - hopefully when I get back July 7 we will all be approved - maybe sending VSC a few cases of Red Bull might do the trick and speed them up...

Could I be added to this list please? I sent my I-130 over night to Chicago lockbox, it was picked up on January 11, 2008 and NOA1 date is February 8, 2008 I am at CSC... still waiting for NOA2. My husband is in Mexico waiting...

Upon checking it online, it still say pending. I read it somewhere that someone was saying CSC was too busy working on our cases and they have no time to update the online system plus they are short staffed.

So, hang on there and the best we can do at the moment is to be patient!

Hey Guys also another January filer! Noa recieved JAnuary 22nd or so, Nothing since. Vermont is our Service center and I was wondering what "touch " means on all your timelines? My husband is moroccan and still there so if any of you guys are Moroccan based please let me know! I think we need a support group!

Welcome to the club! When someone has the word "Touched" or "Touch" it means that there was an update on their case. When you go to www.USCIS.gov you can sign up to see your case online. You have to actally sign up using a user name and password in order to see the Touch. When you siign up and then sign on, there will be your "Portfolio" You can add cases to your Portfolio by using the receipt number. Then where it says last updated it will have the last date that there was any type of action on your case. That is what we all refer to as a "touch"

Update your profile to include the country you are petitioning from. Then, click on the 'portals' tab at the top of the page and it will take you to the Moroccan forum.

hi guys my interview is on June 25, 2008. I could have been interview as early as June 13, but I don't think my documents would be all ready so decided to do it on last week of June.

Hey guys - I've just sent off my DS-230 packet today -- going full speed ahead with the CR-1 for now!!!

My IV Bill status went to "PAID" today and I printed out the barcode cover letter and, luckily, got my wife's papers today also ... So off the packet went - Express Mail via USPS - expected in NH tomorrow by noon!

Last time my I-129F was touched was 5/26 ... so God only knows if that's about to get approved soon ... NVC representative wasn't helpful with what I "should" do ... but she gave me a number for a Visa Office in Washington, D.C. that I have to try to call soon ...

Thanks Guys! I really appreciate it! I have to go to USCIS and check it out again, I am set up for email alerts but I gotta check this porfolio thing! I alternate between excited, nervous and down right scared aabout this whole process. Thank God he's worth it!

HI Cying here is the number 1-1909-101-7878 (For Philippines only) call that number for interview sched and they will ask for your NVC Case Number. After checking that number they will inform you if you're ligible to have an appointment. If your are then they will ask you some personal information like name, birthday, numbers and email address. They will give you the earliest date of available appointment but then you could chose your own date not later than the earliest date. Mine was June 13, but have to consider my money and my medical appointment plus the documents that Im still working on. That's all no need for packet 3!! It's a waste of time to wait. Goodluck!

Hi vj_nvc_user that's the number written in second notice aside from NOA2 informing you about your new case number. You could use that to set an interview appoint with you embassy. Check the reply for Cying she's also from the Philippines so she could call the number I used. In your case check with your local embassy website what number you can call to have interview schedule. Hi there don't be scared just relax and keep on praying. Email update wasn't really a regular email from CRIS everytime they made an update. Since I subscribed to their email update the only emails I got from them is Email Verification because I joined with them and the approval of my petitions. So I suggest that you regularly check your Porfolio with USCIS to know if they touched or updated your petition. Goodluck

I am confused. I requested an expedite on my case on May 27th. on the 28th they sent me an e-mail that had all the infor for the expedite and the 2nd e-mail was an update on my case saying that they transfered my case to the local field office for a standard interview. I have not been approved yet and my husband is in Mexico. So what is this interview for? What does this mean? Is this a bigger issue than and RFE? We have been together 5 years. I sent in tons of pictures of us together plus a video that is from the WB from when I proposed to him on National TV. So I am not sure if this interview thing is good or bad. Does anyone have any idea?

Well I guess your a celebrity or someone who is popular... lol... probably the USCIS is still enjoying your video and sharing it with their co-employees that's why they transferred it and wanted to see you... lol... just kidding... Probably they wanted to make sure that your request to expedite has a valid reason... here check this website it tells how it applies and see if your reason to expedite is included:

Hey there...

USCIS website information is not accurate. My I-130 was recently approved but on the website it is still say pending and the last touch was 2/19/2008. My husband didn't received any email on our approval too.

Brian&Mel, I think you all are one of the lucky ones. I get touches and they are bad. No RFE's or anything like that, but shipping my case all over the place and making the process even longer. Sorry, I am just really depressed today...

Oh I just noticed that our anniversaries are a day apart. Ours is December 11th...

Maybe there is a blessing in disguise. Look at the bright side, at least you know your application is not tucked under the box or cabinet. They HAVE your paperwork and they are going to work on it pretty soon. Don't think about it too much. I used to pray everytime when I go and check the mailbox, hoping to see a letter from USCIS. Then I stop doing that because I realised that I get disappointed when I don't see the letter. Soon...I received the letter unexpectedly.

All we can do is to be patient. Both my husband and I try not to be ambitous and we hope I will get my green card by end of the year. It would be a nice way to enter a new year!!!

Sorry that you are feeling down. And I wish I can do more.

I'm in this batch. My I-130 NOA1 from Vermont is dated 2/12/08.
I got a single 'touch' on 2/24/08. I have not had a single 'touch' since. Anybody else in my boat?
