They don't apply to K3 because procedure at NVC is different for CR1/IR1.Once approved I-129F doesn't stay at NVC longer than couple of days and then it is forwarded to embassy.I-130 stays at NVC longer than that.Read James shortcuts carefully and you'll see that there cannot be shortcuts for I-129F.

Notice date says April 22,2008. I guess mail takes longer to get here in Alaska. Also it doesnt show approved online.

Congrats to those who had gotten their NOA2. I hope ours will follow suit soon. Looks like CSC is working on the cases!!!!
Hubby went to Malaysia last week for a visit and here I am in a hotel at LAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Came in through LAX and it was breeze. No mentioned of the pending I-130 and the only question the officer asked was "How long you gonna be here?". He didn't even asked for a return ticket or anything like that. He seems nice and friendly too. Took my fingerprints and photo and we are out of the counter. It took us less than 10 minutes!!!!!
For those who will be visiting (I remember Sarah wanted to come and visit her husband), good luck and stay calm. My hubby and I worry too much I guess. Be confident and stay compose.

I'm not going to worry about visiting now as I think VSC January people may be approved within 6 weeks, but thank you .... I simply don't have enough ties to the UK to stop me from worrying about them denying me entry at POE.
OK, I thought I'd post my thread for stuff to do for NVC on here .... I posted it originally to help stop the insanity at VSC, but it applies to all I-130 approvals
If you guys don't have your stuff together, please do it, as it will stop the anxiety after you are approved

With online payment of the I-864 fee bill and the IV fee bill at the NVC, you can now print your own coversheets to mail your I-864 and DS-230 to the NVC; the difference from James' shortcuts is that these coversheets are official from Department of State and not the manufactured ones from James. It is worth thinking about and building into your plan. If you can take that route, it could save you weeks at NVC. Hi Immillpind,
K3 visas pretty much fly right through NVC and go to the embassy. I do not know if K3s get NVC case numbers or not; my hunch is no but definitely confirm. All of the stuff we have to do at NVC K3 visas do after they arrive in the US and adjust status. Also, I do not know if you pay anything at NVC; I have not heard anything about that. Nowadays, it seems the service centers are not approving K3 visas and just approving the I-130. That seems to be the trend.

I-130 APPROVED on 5/1/08!!! Haven't gotten a letter yet, but it's supposedly in the mail ... No approval on the I-129F yet, though ... I'm wondering how long I should wait on that before deciding that I'm going with the I-130 alone ...
The way I see it, the goal of permanent residence is now well on its way - but I can still save some time in terms of getting my wife HERE if I go with the K3 because the processing time at the NVC is significantly shorter ... anyone know what the time difference is at the NVC between an I-130 alone vs the K3 "combo"???

Hi everyone I got email from CRIS yesterday afternoon and it says my husband's petition was approved last May 06, 2007. I already informed my husband about it and he's just waiting for the original NOA2. I was just wondering when I checked the Status Online it says your case is still pending. Weird isn't it. So for all of you January 08 Filers approval is now on the way. Goodluck to everyone!

I'm just biting my nails now for the I-129F because the thought of how long it may take NVC to process the I-130 by itself is scary lol ... I want my wife here ASAP ... an extra grand in the course of a lifetime is worth it to me if she'll get here a month or two earlier

yeah mine was last touched April 7th,2008. haven't seen any activity since. I don't know what a touch even means, but hopefully it's getting close.
I've seen some I-129F NOA1's around March 11,2008 already approved (http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/default.aspx). i hope this means some us waiting after 3/11 are approved shortly.

CONGRATULATIONS to all January Filers 08 that already approved! Time for us to prepare the docs and I want you guys be ready so I attached the requirements that you need to submit. I got it from the US Embassy Website here in the Philippines and I know it's the standard requirements that you need to prepare and submit. So have these ready so when Packet 3 arrives you already guys will just do the medical exam.
VSC is approving I-130 at very slow pace. CSC is quite quick compared to VSC. We should all file a mass petition to VSC to wake them up and do some serious work. This system is so pathetic...fees are being increasd every year without no output from these VSC workers. With increased fees people would expect better service.USCIS sucks big time. They should do an overhall of the system.

Yes - looking at the chart it is real graphic evidence that VSC is dragging their @ss!!!

Hoping for fast approvals for the rest of the january filers.

This makes me so angry, looking at our timelines only one non-expedite VSC filer has been approved while almost all CSC folks have received NOA2... How can there be such a difference in procedure between one service center and the other - NONE of this sh!t makes any sense anymore.
